NFL ranks
#7 in yards with 1311
#2 in TD's with 12
#7 in catches with 88
all this despite getting 30-40 less targets than most receivers in the top 10, and before anyone throws out the whole "well our team spreads the ball around" argument Witten has 103 catches and both he and Miles Austin will probably finish with 1000 yards as well

He's always had off the chart physical ability, with him it's been a question of work ethic and keeping his head on straight.
As far as targets go he is the 2nd most targeted receiver on the Pokes (130), 12 behind Witten and 15 more than Austin, had 6 games where he was trageted between 11 - 15 times and has averaged 10 targets a game for the past 6 so it's not like he isn't getting more than enough opportunities to produce.

But if they can add a few pieces to that Oline, this offense will be a great one.

oh yeah, he gets targets in that offense, I just mean compared to quite a few guys in the league near him in catches or yards he gets quite a few less targets,

part of me agrees with you, but on the other hand I thought Romo tried to do that earlier in the year and wound up with a lot of interceptions. I mean as great as Dez is playing now, over the first half of the season he probably cost Romo 4 or 5 int's easy. I would like to see Garrett put him in motion and get him matched up on linebackers and safeties though, but it won't happen, Garrett never did that with TO, which was why TO hated Garrett, and that was one thing T.O was right about, Garrett's philosophy is that you let the other team choose what they want to take away, you let them do it and beat them with someone else.......that's fine if you are the 90's cowboys, but not so good today.
Agree 100% on the OL, if we had even a decent OL our offense would be great. We need to come out of the next offseason with a RG and RT minimum.... and probably a center.

Meh, with the exceptions of Wayne (1315 yds, 182 tars) and Green (1329, 162) his targets are pretty much in line with the other 1300 and change yd WRS:
V Jackson - 1334, 140
D Thomas - 1312, 133
White - 1309, 133
Dez - 1311, 130
