Has Foles performed well enough to be the 2013 starting QB?

Obviously there will probably be a new coach who wants to start his guy, but do you think Foles has done enough to deserve the starting spot at QB next season?

The problem is who else is going to be competing?

If Lurie has a lick of sense the first thing he should insist on from Howie is a drastic upgrade in that department. Sure, the secondary is awful too and needs to be addressed as well, but you cannot win in the NFL with a bad offensive line. Mediocre skill position guys? Sure. A pedestrian defense? Possible. A horrible offensive line that has quarterbacks taking a beating or running for their lives on nearly every play? Yeah. Not so much.

Plenty of teams have won the Superbowl without elite QBs. You need someone who doesn't turn the ball over; a game manager if you will. It can be done.

Keep Foles here but look long and hard for franchise level talent @ QB and OLine.

HB, keep an eye on Tyler Bray - obviously, I watched a bit of him this year, and while I do believe he could have used one more college season, this kid is huge (6'6"), has a big arm, and can make all the throws. He needs to mature, but of the QB's I've seen coming out, he's the one guy I might look long and hard at taking a second round flyer on.

Spot on. Improve the OLINE, commit to pounding the ball with McCoy, Brown, and maybe a 3rd back (Lewis?), and let Foles, Vick, or whoever they pick up in the draft to develop without the weight of the whole team on their shoulders.
I am actually more concerned on the defensive side of the ball. Lack of sacks, turnovers, physicality, and attitude is extremely concerning. Watching the SNF game between Seattle and San Francisco made me extremely envious of the players on both those defenses.
Don't know who is on the actual radar to be the next Eagles coach, and a part of me still thinks Reid will be back, but if they go with a defensive minded coach they should look to hire the DC from SF or Seattle.

That was my though exactly - where the F does one acquire one of these elite QBs? 99 cent store down the street??
If there aren't any top-choice QBs available in the draft, I say acquire a top OT, and see what Foles can do with a better line, and a new offensive scheme.
