Foles' first 6 starts and Vick's first 6 starts.

Barring in mind, Vicks starts are including Herremans, Kelce, Jackson and McCoy for the majority of the games. Including a defense that was playing much better football. Foles had no Jackson, McCoy, Kelce or Herremans for most these games. He also had no Avant or Celek for one game. Vick is also a 10 year vet who had the whole off season with the first team and has been with the Eagles since 2010. Foles joined only this year as a third round pick. Also Vick and Foles both had 1 rushing TD in their 6 games.
Vicks first 6 games this year:
60% Completion. Average of 7.2 yards per play. 8 Touchdowns. 8 Interceptions. 81 QB rating. 9 Fumbles, 5 lost.
13 TURNOVERS IN 6 GAMES.
Foles first 6 starts OF HIS CAREER. (Doesn't include impressive Cowboys game as he didn't start, I also didn't count the fumble that was Browns fault on the handoff against the Bengals)
60% Completion. 6.5 yards per play. 5 Touchdowns. 4 Interceptions. 79 QB rating. 6 Fumbles, 2 lost.
6 TURNOVERS IN 6 GAMES.
Okay so as you can see; Vick slightly edges it in TD's and yards per play but only slightly. They have the same Completion % and almost the same QB rating.
However - Look at the turnovers. That stat is ridiculous. Vick slightly edges it if you ignore the turnovers. But if you include the turnovers, it would be quite easy to say that Foles has been the better his first 6 games than Vick was.
That is ridiculous, how can a third round pick rookie be outplaying a 10 year vet who is on a 100 million contract and has been with the team a couple of years now. HE ALSO HAD MORE WEAPONS THAN FOLES DID! During Foles 2 most impressive games against the Cowboys and Bucs. Foles had no Jackson or McCoy. Nor Celek for the Bucs game. Imagine how good his stats would have been if they were all playing as well!
I actually like Vick as a person but please Vick huggers just give up. How can you actually come back to this post and tell me Foles sucks and Vick is much better? Just look at the stats.
I hope Foles is the future, he has shown a lot of promise. For people just to say he's rubbish and stuff bewilders me. He's played as good as realistically could be expected of a third round rookie QB with a banged up offense.

3 to Vick and 1 to Foles. However, the Defense basically won us the game against the Browns, you cannot say that was down to Vick. The Giants could have easily beaten us without some awful coaching by Coughlin.
Also, If Foles had Jackson and McCoy I think we would have won a couple of other games along the way.
I ignored wins not out of bias, but because I don't believe thats a true reflection of how these QB's have been because our defense was SOO much better at the start of the year.

It actually means a lot. If Foles was a #1 pick he'd be getting waaay more leeway than what he is now. And would be the undisputed starter for 2013 no matter the HC.

lol I know but people arent asking for Ryan Leaf to get his starting job and thinks he can lead us to playoff wins.
Idk what your getting at?
What I'm getting at is Vick has played one full season in his entire career. He is one of the most turn over happy qbs in the league, he does not know how to read blitzes cb and safety blitzes specifically. He is not as fast as he use to be. This team is moving on and it's time.

You people that are stalkingly obsessed and create THREAD AFTER THREAD AFTER THREAD denouncing "Vick huggers" should just give it up already. Sheesh on the first page alone the majority of the threads are pro Foles. I rarely in any of the post see someone other than a few people (and that's dwindled) on some pro-Vick ish. Just because someone is being objectively critical of Foles' game doesn't make them a "Vick hugger/licker/joccker" or whatever school adage you people love throwing out there in here.
But it's a select few on here that are CONSTANTLY bringing Vick into the discussion before he is even brought into the discussion?! Just let it go seriously, you people continue to look like jilted ex's that have new bfs and are boasting about how happy you are but can't keep your ex's bf business out of your mouth/life because you're stuck on it.
Take a deep breathe and let it go!

I'm talking about 1st year performances. If you're a 3rd round 88th overall pick and you don't perform at a high level in the first/second year you're liable to get replaced pretty fast. But being a 1st pick you would get the benefit of the doubt because you're supposed to be great.

- All time leading QB rusher
- Has some playoff game experience
- One of the strongest arms in the game
- Still one of the most athletic
- 4 time pro bowler
Not bad for an average guy.
Foles:
5 starts at 1-5

Its a been unfair to compare career stats to a guy who is in his rookie year and only played half of one season
+ None of them actually mean anything if he still hasn't managed to win a ring, even when in his prime!

Thats what ive been saying on these forums but people want to troll Foles saying he's not the future, and want Vick to be the strting QB next year. I say give Foles a full season with a coach like Mike McCoy, Dirk Koetter, Jay Gruden, or Bruce Arians and we'll after that.
Maybe even Greg Roman.
