Does recent divorce complicate ownership?
why did he let childhood friend Joe Banner leave for another team?
Andy is near his last year of a contract and Lurie has stated his loyalty to him.
Given Andy lost his son, would Lurie fire him the same year or give him a last chance to comeback and select his next gig?
Most new owners would get a free year by the fans to let Andy finish his contract, much like Lurie did with Rhodes?
The pressure in keeping Andy splits the fan base, most fans are 50/50 on this, media is 100%.
Any other thoughts?

His ex-wife has a small stake in the team, is still employed by the team, and has absolutely zero say in any decisions regarding the team Football or business related.

Been following this team longer than most and more detailed tham most. There are some talented players and role players that should be kept for the long term, Landri, Thornton, Dorenbos, Tapp, Maclin, Cooper.

extensions are typically done in the off-season, maclin could be extended this offseason, cooper has 1 year left and theres no rush to re-sign him unless he drasticly improves, landri was a one year rental since they only signed him to a 1 year deal. thronton just finished his first year of a 3 year contract so there is no need to extend him. tapp is gone and is only a rotational player, he is not needed and can easily be replaced. dorenbos at long snapper would be good to extend because of consistency but this is not a premier position and will probably be done in the off-season

There literally are about 7 GREAT owners in the NFL.
LURIE IS ONE OF THEM.

Ah, I see you've thoroughly familiarized yourself with the divorce settlement agreement. Incidentally, even if on paper, her decision making ability is technically limited, did it ever occur to you that an ex-wife (who is frequently at the office) can make things quite miserable to such an extent that she can finagle what she really wants???

Jeff and Christina Lurie, husband and wife, are a different ownership structure than Jeff Lurie as partner with ex-wife Christina. Trust me.

No doubt. But keep in mind that Christina has always stayed out of the football operations. Yes she was heavily involved in many things. But nothing to do with football itself. I would see no reason why any of that would change.
And keep in mind their issues have been ongoing for well over 3 years now.
I can tell you 1st hand that their 10 million house was completed well after their seperation without issue along with 2 other MAJOR business dealings.
Normally I would say that yes, it could be a red flag. But those 2 are exceptionally well at separating business and personal things. Incredibly well.

Do some research man. She has absolutely NO power within the team. The divorce is over with. She can't finagle anything with the team.

Dude, you're not getting the point. Yes, legally, her voting rights and management rights are limited. But she's the managing member's ex-wife, she holds a large stake in the team, and she's allowed to park her keester in the team office facilities anytime she damn well pleases - and from what I've read, she's been there more than Jeff of late. She's in a position to get what she wants regardless of what the paperwork says.

Why would LA be better than Philly?
Why even fish this speculation?
And to be succinct the fact that the eagles are in the NFC east with Dallas/NYG/Washinton puts it in the largest major media markets in the country, yeah he would be sure to sell it to a backwater media market or share a market~
If the team were allowed to leave the NFC east the first thing that would happen with a move would be a LOSS OF VALUE
This might be the dumbest post of the year
http://www.city-data...010-2011-a.html
The move to LA would do nothing but diminish the team value
