graham, celek, b.brown, nnamdi, anderson, kelce, thornton, kendricks, ryans, herrimans, drc?

top 10 pick in each round, a few FA additions on the o-line, real d-coordinator

we are ready to compete for the nfc title in '13-'14

lets stay the course for 1 more year under new leadership. if vick doesnt get it done in the first 4 weeks we still have foles with another year of experience waiting in the wings no need to waste time or money at qb "we're fine there" atleast for next year

NO VICK!!

And I prefer to pick up Darell Bevel as Head Coach & VP to Kelly, maybe find a way to pickup Gus Bradley to VP & Defense Coordinator... ^_^

unless vick restructures his deal before the super bowl he will not be here next year, so you are wasting a lot of time and money with that. if he is, he will not be announced the starter heading into training camp as there will be a QB competition.

We've already seen this. I like Vick as much as anyone, but he is too small to play with small WR's. If we don't connect on the long ball, we have nothing. Vick in the redzone with short WR's doesn't work, and he doesn't make enough adjustments at the line. Great mobilityoverall but bad mobility in the pocket.  This doesn't even account for his TO's (in the red zone especially). Foles has played well to anyone not watching through their "Vick is the greatest" lenses. He looked better with the same terrible line, no DJAX, No Shady, and a D like a sieve.

We started the year with the 2nd youngest team in the league. Why have it led by a soon-to-be 33 year old QB who isn't a vocal leader. Nice guy, but too nice to be the QB of a young team.

No need to waste money? Do you know how much we're paying Vick next year if he stays?!

Vick leaves, he's never done anything in his career, why pay the stiff?

if we do get kelly the foundation of our offense will be mccoy and brown. our passing game will be mostly play action type of things. vick will throw 20-25 times like they do with rg3 in washington that has enabled griffin to have the best year of all the qbs in the nfc east

I hear the same crap every year. Vicks done. Andy's done. It's time to start over .. Time for the Eagles to go in another direction.

And the one constant that holds true no matter what you "hear" or "feel" every year? The Eagles are one of those 31 other teams that hasn't won the Superbowl.

im thinking the eagles having vick and foles at qb makes the eagles along with all the other talent we have the clear cut best option for kelly to come in and win immediately. foles is his insurance policy in case vick gets hurt or doesnt play well. i dont think there is a better situation out there for kelly right now

you mean when vick gets hurt and doesnt play well.

vick has never thrown for more than 3500 yards in a season. what makes you think a college coach can come in here and turn vick into a decent QB when every other coach that has tried has gotten fired?

This is the best case scenario. Vick restructures his deal; we have an open QB competition in training camp, and we make QB a high priority in the 2014 draft unless Foles beats out Vick and lights it up next year.

You can't win with a big turnover differential and Vick is a major reason why we have been among the league leading teams in turning it over. He carries it like a loaf of bread. He throws it into double and triple coverage.  I've seen enough to know that we won't win with Vick. 2010 might as well be 15 years ago at this point.

Foles isn't much better taking care of the ball.... I blame the OL and the coaching.... The obvious constants.

hey guess what when you come out and throw the ball 45-60 times a game with a bad o-line your pretty much gauranteed 3-4 turnovers, holding penalties and dropped passes and tipped passes right to defenders (celek). there is just so much that can go wrong. thats why foles also had a bit of turnover issues himself along with the recievers. when you play high risk football its gonna happen. i think its no coincidence that when vick started playing worrying about turnovers we stop winning. he threw alot of turnover early on but we still won.

the opposing coaching know reids offense just as good as reid does. so your left with your qb holding the ball due to there being nowhere to go with the ball and turnovers where your trying to force things. its either you just let it rip like favre used to or you go 3 and out all game

notice our problem remain the same no matter if its vick, foles, donovan or kolb all of our complaints these last 6 years were the same telling me its reid and his same offense from '98 if he was smart he would have brought in a new -coordinater and let him insert an entire new system with new tendencies

Foles is definitely the way to go. Even if the kid doesn't pan out at least we know and we might be set up to grab a QB early in the '14 draft. I'm not exactly expecting a SB from the new coach next year anyway.

If whatever coaching staff in place uses their brain and relies on a more balanced or run heavy offense, we will be fine rather quickly.  Foles acting as "game manager" will be fine.

Kelly will be the coach.  Invest in OL, CB, and Safety early in the draft.

Do you think he's actually Kenny Powers?  Suddenly your desire to have Vick back as the starter next year makes more sense.

this is simply a cry to give vick another chance thread. all of those other players are really just distractions to deviate from the point of the post. You want vick here with another coach. It's not gonna happen. He's gone.

Your plan sounds too much like right but you posted it in TATE so run for cover.  Any thought of Vick being here next year means your not a Eagles fan on TATE.  I'll just sit back and wait for the same old haters to post telling you how crazy you are.

well in the order you list things in your thread it goes....kelly,top 10 pick,vick...

The only 1 of those things likely to be here is the top 10 pick. You wanna pay vick 18 million to throw the ball 20 times a game like rg III? (you realize they are only running that offense to simplify the game for him right?) The read option won't be part of the nfl in 2 years just like the wildcat. At the end of the day you have to be good from the pocket in the nfl.

No!!! When I'm watching TV this morning and the experts are saying Vick will be the best FA QB this off season and we don't have a QB I just have to scratch my head and say surely we are not this dumb as fans to want Vick gone.  So you don't want the best QB per the experts next year?
