I agree. The Eagles do not like criticism from within the organization. Andy flipped Juan from defense to offense back to defense, The signs were there last season of a team in decline. Poor home winning record. Asante Samuel's comments got him moved. There is this "appearance" that the Eagles are a high quality organization but heir moves tend to suggest otherwise. Successful NFL teams have a blend of young guys with veterans. The Eagles move out the veterans pretty quickly. Who is the leader of the team now? I think it has become a team without an identity. No Pro Bowl selections speaks volumes that no player has distinguished themselves this season. I do think Celek should have gone but he did not have that many touches, Take Bryce Brown for instance. Will the team stick with him, he looks to have very good potential. or will they move him out in another year. To come together effectively takes a huge coordinated effort by management, coaching, and players. Make no mistake Laurie is calling the shots. Andy Reid was professing that Michael Vick was the GB of the Eagles even as he was tanking big time. Then the word comes from Laurie, Vick is out and Foles is in. Concussion for 6 weeks, but now he just happens to be better since Foles got hurt.
I don't think they know where to go now. Do they want a strong independent coach or one they can manipulate? 8-8 is probably overly optimistic next year. If Andy and Michael do come back (I don't see any sensible reason for this) it will be another disastrous season. Laurie wants to win games. He doesn't want to be the owner of a bottom dwelling team.
