Dave, please take some time to congratulate all of the Eagles that made the Pro Bowl... if you think it won't take too much time out of your work day...

Wheew, and just when I thought our season couldn't get any worse not one Eagle makes the Pro Bowl. That's it the coaches are definitely not doing their jobs haha.

I'm not too surprised that no Eagles made the Pro Bowl.  Even if Henery made those two FG's a few weeks ago, I don't think he would have made it because of how many 50+ FG's Walsh has made.  I think if Peters and McCoy were healthy all year, at least one of them would have made it.  I wonder if any of the Eagles will eventually make it to the roster as injury/SB/no-show replacements.

I'd have actually been shocked if any did make it.

This is pretty telling about how little real talent is actually on this team.  Granted, McCoy and Peters probably would have made it if healthy.  However, McCoy wasn't having that great of a season before he got hurt due to the poor offensive line play (seriously, which of the three running backs, who made it, would you bump in favor of McCoy - maybe Gore?).  As for Peters, who knows if he will be the same player, when he returns, or not.

Also, before someone counters with "well, bad teams usually don't field many/any Pro Bowlers," just remember that the Chiefs, who are the worst team in the league this year, sent five players to the Pro Bowl.  So, one can see that the Eagles have quite a ways to go towards rebuilding this roster outside of "just" finding a QB.  I'm sure that's something that any potential new coach will have to think long and hard on before signing up to accept any of Mr. Lurie's money....

Honestly, they got it right. There really were no deserving Eagles players.  Henery had a good year, but hardly kicked any FGs beyond 50.  Mathis had a good season, but I wouldn't say that he stood out as being a pro bowl player.  DeMeco has had a few clunkers, but has been above average.  But, he hasn't been a pro bowl level player this year.

Nobody really deserved it, so why would you be surprised? If healthy, Peters and McCoy are Pro Bowl players. Jackson was having a very fine season until the offense fell apart. I have never put a lot of stock in the Pro Bowl, but as we have discussed this year, the Eagles need more talent on this roster. I'm not denying that.

Lot of guys making pro bowl salaries and many have pro bowl talents. Two CBs back there and a DE as well as a pretty good RB. I would say it reflects more on the coaching staff, not getting the max out of them or as AR says not putting them in position to make plays, then the players playing poorly. The coaching staff has to play his assets in a system that allows them to be their best not in a system they never played in before like in Nnamdi case.

People always say they don't put much stock in the pro bowl until the team sends a bunch. Then it's like, hey look at us.
