The Eagles 4 wins this season have been won by a combined total of five, 5, points.

Doesn't matter if they won by 20 or 1, a win is a win.

- Vick threw an easy interception AND fumbled in the last drive against Cleveland
- Terrible PI call against Baltimore saved the game
- Giants kicker misses a field goal
- Tampa Bay win happened on the last play of the game

WOW!  This could very easily be 0-15.

I know, I'm just reminding everyone how bad of a season this truly has been.

Kind of like last year where winning the last 4 games of the season meant 8-8 instead of 4-12.

Why mask it? We sucked poorly last year. We suck even more this year.

Hey, weren't we supposed to be favorites to win the NFC East and represent in the Superbowl? Vick said something about a dynasty..?

Exactly. The PI call was kind of bogus, but so was the call against the Skins that had the 10 second run off that ended the game. We had no business winning any of those games except the Bucs game, it actually felt like we won that one.

Picked the wrong year to go 0-15.

Picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue.

Believe me when I say most everyone knows how bad of a season it's been. Most people just don't care as much as ya think they would. They're just ready to see some new faces in the organization.

BTW, that Tampa Bay win was a work of art....

Eagles down by two scores with ten minutes left...
Foles drove us down in a few minutes scored a TD,
Defense gets us the ball back with a few minutes left.
Foles brings us to the 1 yard line with 2 seconds left, calls the play, and BOOM! TD EAGLES WIN!!!!

Two minute offense ***twice*** and TWO redzone scores,...***twice*** in the same quarter... LOL  two things we havent seen in decades!!!! ;)

Oh give me a break.  And their first 3 wins would have been blowouts if it were not for them giving the ball to the other team, so STFU.  What does it matter anyway?

This is an awful season, but I still hate these types of arguments designed to discredit wins.  Teams across the league win games under similar or identical circumstances.  Every.  Single.  Season.  A different bounce or two for every team in the league and the entire complexion of a season can drastically change.  That's why it's called a game of inches.

,
Exactly the way I look at it. Like I said earlier, a win is a win no matter how you look at it.

Except for the fact that he didn't name a what if scenario? Just said an opinion that two calls were bogus.

You can play all kinds of "what if" games.

The Eagles lost 5 games by one score or less.

14-17 Steelers
26-23 Lions
30-22 Panthers
38-33 Cowboys
27-20 Redskins

Factor in the "IF" factor and the Eagles COULD have been 7-8 right now IF they score a TD inthe Steeers, Lions and Cowboys games and they COULD be 7-6-2 right now IF they score a TD with 2 PT Conv vs. the Panthers and then hold for 15 more minutes and IF they score a TD vs. the Redskins and then hold for 15 more minutes there too.

Or... they COULD be 8-7 right now IF they score TD's vs. the Steelers, Lions and Cowboys AND score a TD and 2 PT conversion vs. the Redskins.

OR... well, you get the point. They're 4-11. "IF" means nothing. Reality is what reality is and 4-11 is the reality right now.

When your organization claims to be going "All In" for a 2011 Superbowl Championship and posts a worse-than-8-8 record, following 2012 with an abysmal 4-12 campaign, you better score more than 18.2 pts per game in a passing league. Must I even mention the QB's turnover ratio?

I'm not trying to argue a win is a win, is a W because I understand.

I'm simply looking back over 18 weeks and bringing to recognition of how bad our beloved Eagles team has played over 2 years under Andy Reid in a 14 year tenure. We've fallen from our perch and it's sickening.

Share in my dismay, here on the EMB where our opinion does not matter.

There's a lot of things that go into a W-L record that determine actual W's and L's. Declaring "all in" isn't one of them. That's a comsetic thing for fan and media consumption and means as much (or less) that Young declaring the Eagles a "Dream Team". A team can be 100% "All In" and give 100% of their best effort and end up 0-16, it just might be that 0-16 is 100% of their best.

You can say "we could have been this IF that had or hadn't happened" or "we could have done that if this hadn't happened" but when it comes down to it, reality is what happened on the field. We're 4-11 (not 4-12 just yet, we could still get to 5-11). Say what you will, but they actually did win those 4 (maybe 5) games. You can't go back and take them away now.

one year too late ... typical Eagles story line.. needed a top pick last year,  no Luck and RG3 this year...
so what did we do ... won the last the last meaningless game against the Redskins who we bumped up in the draft and they ended up with our nemesis for the next ten years or so.
Could have easily played the subs in that game.... stupid empty win with vast negative implications....

That game had nothing to do with the Redskins getting Griffin. They traded up to get him. They'd have traded up whether they'd won or lost.

In the past 10 years, I'd rank the 2012 Eagles as a bottom 25 team in that decade.  That's saying something.

WOW!  This could very easily be 0-15.

This team should be 0-15.  If they were,  I don't think any of these Reid supporters would think that he should still stay.

It's kind of like 1972 when the Eagles went 2-11-1 - with both wins by 1 point, on the road, and outside the conference (they won at Kansas City and Houston).
