My name's Baker and I'm from the finest land there is, Wales!

I've recently got into American Football (Or just 'football' as you fine folks in the states call it) and with every sport I think it's important that you pledge your allegiance to a team, so I decided on, lucky for you (!), the Eagles!

In all seriousness, I'm really excited to get a bit more involved with this team and as you are all aware I'm not into the whole glory-supporting as I can see you haven't done too good this season.

All I ask of you lot is to be a bit easy on me when I make myself look like a bit of an idiot over the coming months into I gel into this sport a bit more. Any questions I'm here to answer.

Go Eagles! (Is this what you say?) :meh:

Welcome to #GangGreen ...

1) Are you able to watch games in Wales or just highlights?
2) How did you land on the Eagles? Especially considering how bad they are this year.

My advice to you: Read, read, read, read. Anything your wondering has probably been discussed. So the "Search" button is your best friend. If you have any questions and dont wanna start a thread to get an answer feel free to PM me. Philly fans are pretty ruthless and like to talk alot of smack. So hopefully your skin is thick and you dont take offense to some rib jabbing (no ****).

Welcome aboard, Baker! What made you choose the Eagles?

The one thing you must never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever do,as an Eagle fan, is cheer for the Dallas Cowboys(commonly referred to as the cowturds, cowpukes, or any other derogatory name on here)...They are arguably the most hated out of our three division rivals.

LOL If he catches the highlights of the entire season,he definately may not come back.

**What? They had a coach for 14 years and he didn't win a superbowl?**
**What? They fired Two coaches and cut a player in a season**
** Why is number 29 and number 42 always getting abused**

Why do we pass 98% of the time when we have an all-pro back?
Is it common to promote an offensive line coach to D coordinator?
Do you think this D could stop an arena league team?
Why is this king character so effing big and such a poosie at the same time?
Whos that chick wearing #50 and how did she make the team?

1) We have a terrestrial channel (Channel 4) which shows games now and then but not a lot. I always have to stay up until 3 am to watch a night game for instance. There's an app called NFL 12 which lets me see some highlights.

2) Well I've always played Madden games, and that's why I know some of the terminology and the basic rules. How I landed on the Eagles is because Donovan McNabb was on the cover of Madden '06 and he was just so good on the game, I reserved a soft spot for this team. I've only got into the sport solidly the last few weeks after watching Friday Night Lights! I used to hate American Football, I thought it was boring but I'm glad I was wrong.

I can take a lot of stick, I support Cardiff City football club and we have notoriously crazy fans.

Thank you! I have been told by my NFL supporting friends that the Cowboys are basically the Manchester United of American Football. Rich, and very terrible fans. So I stayed clear.

I've supported a soccer team that's faced administration and liquidation virtually every season I've supported them. I believe that to truly experience the highs, you have to experience the lows!

They lost me $40 last week when I bet on them to win. I've already mustered up hatred for them so looks like I'm onto a winner here.

I watch them on streaming websites. Not great quality, but it allows me to watch them so I can't complain. Thanks, though!

I'm in it for the long-haul. If you realised the **** I've put up with, with the football - sorry 'soccer' - team I support, you'll be glad you only support the Eagles!

Just to put things into perspective here, and let me clear up what happened with the soccer team I support, we played in Blue for over a 100 years and then two Malaysian businessmen bought our club and changed our club colours from our famous blue to red.

Read about it here: http://www.bbc.co.uk...-wales-18337392

Our badge changed from (left) to (right)

Hopefully I've cheered you up a bit about what's happening with the Eagles

Its funny because I just recently got into Soccer. Been playing Fifa on 360 for a couple years now. Although I dont have a favorite club yet :( ... I dont wanna go into it blindly so I just watch until I see a player or club I like.

Out of the Barclays Premiere League I would have to say Im a Hot Spur fan. Dempsey is American and I like Garreth Bale or how ever you spell his 1st name.

Welcome to the eagles man. There's a lot of frustration that comes with being an eagles fan, but it will all be worth it when we finally win a championship. Eagles fans are without a doubt some of the most ruthless fans on earth, but were truly  the most passionate fans around. No one can question how much eagles fans really love their team.

Thanks mate, appreciate that. I'm still trying to learn the ropes, really. It's kind of hard, and I can empathise with people who are new to soccer now, whereas before I just thought they were stupid. Getting into a new sport is hard, especially one as technical as american football!

Thanks to everyone who's been so welcoming to me. It means a lot.
