And the brilliant "5 year ago slide"
5 years ago they went to the NFCCG.
4 years ago they won 11 games and the division and went to the playoffs.
3 years ago they won 10 games and the division and went to the playoffs.
What a terrible slide those 3 years were. Absolutely horrific.
They didn't win the division that year. They got shut out in Dallas with the division and #2 seed on the line.

Show a TATEr a series of stats that show that a player or the team is good, and they'll call you an idiot because all that counts is the W/L stat.
Show a TATEr a list of winning seasons and say that shows that the team was good and they'll call you an idiot because even though we won, the stats are bad.

what's a "bigote"? is it some kind of pastry?
and if you meant "bigot", how can one be "bigoted" if they wanted ricky williams drafted instead? last time i checked, he was also black. bigots wouldn't want to draft a guy who had dreads and smoked herb over a guy who was about as black as carlton from the fresh prince.

Anyone want to look up the list of coaches in the history of the NFL that won 10 games or more 8 of 12 seasons ???
Anyone want to look up the list of coaches in NFL history that won 7 division titles in 12 years ???
Anyone want to look up the list of coaches in NFL history that brought his team to the playoffs 9x in 12 years ???
Anyone want to look up the list of coaches in NFL history that made it past the 1st rd at a higher % then Reid ???
Anyone want to look up the list of coaches in NFL history that made it to 5 CCGs in 12 years ???
Anyone want to look up the list of coaches that made it to 5 CCGs period ???
Don't bother looking it up. The list for each item is incredibly short. And he had to do it in a time of free agency and salary cap. Something no coach had to worry about in the 60s, 70s, 80s and 1/2 of the 90s.
off the top of my head John Madden, Tom Laundry, Don Shula, and Vince Lombardi all come to mind. And let's be honest here. I like Reid too, but he shouldn't be mentioned in a conversation with those other guys.

He was never Bill Walsh and Berman treated him like he was.
McNabb never grew after 2004 (although Reid is this awesome QB guru).
Worm burners, yips, and starting out too amped up were just as likely 5 years later.
Does a coach get any blame for allowing the 3rd or 4th or 5th choke to happen?
Are Levy, Reid and Garrett responsible at all for Kelly, McNabb and Romo when they explode like always?
Vick was a turnover machine for about 2 years under this QB guru (sure he was awesome in 2010 although he ended the season with a pick on a play call to Riley Cooper)
JJ's D carried this team for years while McNabb was learning on the job and he had weak-sauce WR weapons.
SCORING OFFENSE includes defensive scores, punt return scores and 3-and-out no yardages drives that get FGs because of a turnover.
The 2000 D had 31 turnovers and 2 scores (Mitchell had a punt return TD and a kick return TD)
The 2001 D had 33 turnovers and 4 return TDs (Mitchell scored on a return)
The 2002 D had 38 turnovers and 3 return TDs ( Mitchell scored on a return)
The 2003 D had only 26 turnovers and 1 score (Westbrook scored 2 times on punt returns)
To be fair McNabb's very few picks helped those D's as well (until playoff time).
Akers was 109 of 127 on FGs from 2000 to 2003.(85.8 %) higher % = more scoring with the same yards.
That percentage would be 5th all time (Henery is #2 all time, FYI)
Reid built teams that were good enough to win the Super Bowl in:
2001 (McNabb fumble on the 1st drive of the NFCCG)
2004 (McNabb had 3 awful INTs (including 2 on consecutive plays))
2008 (They killed Arizona a month earlier and McNabb had about 4 horrendous first half plays)
--Rod Hood PI tackled Kevin Curtis on 4th down. That is not on Reid.
The problem is that he did all this with pieces that were already in place and are now retired, or players who were brought in and then not handled properly.
He did this with JJ who is gone and was replaced by a series of circus clowns.
Arizona hiring him may be like New Orleans hiring Ditka without Buddy Ryan and Mike Singletary.
Chris Berman can "crown his *** " but I can comment on it.
If they think they are getting 2000-2008 Reid, he is 'not who they think he is' to paraphrase another poor Cardinals head coach hire.
He was a very successful coach who should be in the ring of honor, always remembered fondly for 2000-2004 and 2008 yet who deserved to be fired.

The 2002 team definitely should have won it all had Reid not been out coached.
To me, 2002's demise was on Andy. 2004's SB was on McNabb.
