>>DDD: Let's review Todd Bowles. I believe I said that IF Todd Bowles D played a couple of ferocious games, that Lurie would have to seriously consider him--and at least interview him. As it stands, the D melted, dissolved, evaporated, transpired...it weren't there. No way does Bowles get an interview or consideration. Lets move on. Todd may get looks but it should NOT be from Jeff Lurie.

>>DDD: where the "rub" is for Jeff Lurie is that he and Banner built the Eagles as a stable organization. In its hey day, other teams pilfered up & coming coaches and other personnel form the Eagles. STABILITY was provided by Joe Banner and Andy Reid...and together with Lurie the Eagles became a successful franchise. I won't pretend it was easy work--because it was very difficult and reuired great personal sacrifice from each of those individuals. Clearly, Reid's tank ran dry. Because we don't see as much of Lurie, one can only speculate about "his tank" and how much more of himself he can commit to a dynasty ( he did enjoy a small one)..or will he now distance himself from football.and have a "real president" run team affairs.
I think we can fairly say that the improvised management troika of Lurie/Roseman/Reid was a failure.
If Lurie is comfortable with Donahoe, he names him President and puts the affairs of the team into his hands. Lurie has already built the Eagles into a mega successful business--so he can turn his attention to a new project and let Tom handle the business. Surely both Donahoe and Roseman have short lists of HC candidates. Eagles still have the issue of "stability" which was a big deal and I think an advantage for a number of years. Stability will return IF the new Eagles President makes good decisions.
Should Lurie hand more of the reins to Roseman, we'll see more Danny Snyder-like decision making...and the team will replicate the Redskins of the last 10 years.

* In 17 months, Nnamdi Asomugha went from prize $60M free agent to the bench. Asomugha had a horrible game and was pulled in favor of Curtis Marsh in the fourth quarter. He was beaten badly by Rueben Randle on a 38-yard touchdown down the left sideline in the first quarter. As we’ve seen a lot the last two seasons, Asomugha just failed to make a play on the ball in the air. After a second pass interference penalty in the fourth, Todd Bowles yanked him.
Roseman's EGO bought Asomugha with Lurie's money. We don't want this kid anywhere near a final decision on a headcoach
