How does the Pats remain sooo hungry

28 posts in this topic

imo this is the difference between these 2 teams over the last 10 years. the pats have won three supes been to two more however the way they approach the game and thier business its like they havent won anything ever.

they get that from belickick(sp).

meanwhile in eagle town andy has been walking around these last 6-8 years like they are the ish. the arrogant stance they took against key players like trott, dawk and owens hurt them badly in the big picture especially when you consider in each one of those cases they did not have a replacement ready. not only that but that have taken this same stance concerning coaches too.

"we're fine there" is all we get. this mindset has tricked down to the players also. thats why we get talk of dreamteams and dynasties.

it all ends tommorrow and hopefully the new coach reinstates the hunger

You're asking how does a team with a Hall of Fame coach and a Hall of Fame quarterback remain so hungry?!

I don't know. I'm totally lost on that one.

i always thought that missed tackles, holding penalties should have landed players on the bench for atleast a few snaps. missed tackles are all about lack of effort. i could live with brown fumbling atleast the guy is fighting for extra yards and havent played much but veterans missing tackles should not be tolerated

Tom Brady and Bill Beliwelli are both incredibly competitive and don't want to lose a game of hungry hippos let alone a game of football.

LEADERSHIP from within the locker room.... You ever see Brady get on one of his linemen for missing a block? He looks like he is going strangle him...

For the Eagles, look what happened when Dawk was cast aside... leadership disappeared....and so did the success.

Bellichick has some to do with it, but I think it mostly stems from Tom Brady.

The dude went nuts on his team for not winning by enough against the Jags last week. He is such a competitor, and the rest of the team feeds off of it.

Bill Belichick never allows them to be content. He never allows them to be satisfied with a simple accomplishment. He's always looking for ways to get better. They can win a game 59-6 and he's gonna focus on why did wrong. That's the type of coach and team mentality I'd love to see the Eagles have.

they've also reached two more, something the Eagles couldn't do if their lives depended on it.

Two things - the Pats have arguably the best QB in the NFL. Plus, their division opponents are weak teams.

Worked for the Eagles during the early part of the Reid era.

Brady...that's the biggest difference. Both organizations have good coaches and owners. Pats got lucky in the 6th round. Look at all the the coordinators from the Pats that left and then choked once Brady wasn't there to bail their a**es out. Amazing how a good QB can change your fortunes.
