BG93---Well if Lurie is going to buy out anyones contract it should be either Jim or John Harbaugh's!  Not O'brien's.  I just love both of those guys a head coaches.

Jwood---Vick's an awesome QB with a line that blocks effectively and consistently, a D that doesnt give up 30  points a game, and special teams that put the O in good field position...then again, so are most QBs.  Either way, The Eagles lacked all of that and more.

Disgusted---Yes, I agree, I would have like to see some of that from Vick during the season, but my guess would be his thinking that would have just been the pot calling the kettle black as he wasnt exactly doing so great himself.

wski....I like the Haraburgh would like either as are coaches but Lurie can't make them leave there job so not really an option for him to buy them out also i believe O'Brien will be every bit as successful as either Haraburgh

BG, no offense but what's with the man crush on O'Brien? There are lots of quality coaches out there. Does O'Brien have more than one successful year as a head coach? I'm really asking because I don't know. Please do provide the O'Brien resume for us. You seem to have something against successful "retreads" like Gruden, Holgrem, Smith. Im curious what your thoughts are in that respect. I'm not disagreeing with you on that end at all. In fact, I agree...unless the alternative is Kelly. Either way, I have no say and will be on the sidelines on game day regardless.

The self proclaimed GK was/is a moron.

Good riddance and great work by the EMB for the ban.

Senhor...i don't know why I like O'Brien so much just got a feeling he is something special I guess also like the leadership he showed when he went down to Penn St. and still had them winning games if with everything that happened.
O'Brien resume
HC-Penn St. last season
OC-Pats 2011
QB coach for Pats-09-10
WR coach-08
Asst for pats 07
Worked for few different College teams in different positons(TE,LB,QB,RB coaches also OC) through out the span of 1993 to 2006

I like Jon Gruden as well and I wouldn't complain about either Holmgren or Smith(you talking Lovie right) my concern with Lovie is the plan to fix the Offense is all.... Also like other coaches I like Mike Mccoy,Gus Bradley, Greg Roman,Bruce Arians couple of guys

Right on. I do appreciate the info as I know very little about O'Brien. I did mean Lovie. I know John Harbaugh would never leave Baltimore but he is my favorite coach out there. I like coach Pete at Boise State, but I don't see him leaving. I like the 49ers OC. I like their innovation with their personnel a lot!  Koetter? I'm pleasantly surprised the Eagles are interested. He is a great person and his coaching skills are well documented
