Your opinion means nothing.  You think those players had bad seasons, you are the reason people complain about tate.

And you dont know anything about the DET roster.

DJ sucks according to you and you think he will net 2 3rds.  Dumb.

worst seasons of there careers but hey don't let facts get in the way of a perfectly good argument right.

why not worse players have been traded for a lot more.

For some reason you think only the best players with no issues get traded for, those are the players that never get traded.

cracked 1k with no QB two years in a row, yeah what a bumb.

Not sure I can make this much clearer for you: you do not know what you are talking about.

We aren't talking about underperformance with DJ.  You are claiming he's worthless, can't be salvaged (although you then claim CJ can "rub off on him").  He's no good, get rid of him. "I wish" you could cut him.  But when you want to trade him, he's good enough for 2 3rds.  Dumb.  You. Are. Dumb.

didn't desean crack 1k two years in a row??  Please provide a link to where i said he's worthless, can't be salvaged.  as a matter of fact I said he's very talented physically he's just a heartless, gutless football player, that I don't want on this team.  That doesn't mean he will continue like that the rest of his life.  Chris carter was a worthless drug addict not living up to 1/8th his potential before going to Minnesota.

Brandon Marshall is one of the best WR in the world.  THe only reason he was traded twice was because of off the field trouble, has nothing to do with on field at all.  Same with Haynesworth.  Moss is Moss, and was traded because he dogged it.  But thats a hall of fame WR dogging it, not a good-possibly-all pro quality WR dogging it.  Big difference.

If you think Marshall and Jackson are similar in anyway then you are just a clown, straight up clown, no debate.  You are why people think eagles fans are stupid.

Who are you to call Cris Carter worthless?  That man has done more with his life than your pathetic a** has or ever will.  What a complete idiot.

chris carter called chris carter worthless.  so I think that gives me the right to relay his message. said he was worthless when he was with Philly said it 20times over just about every time he's on mike and mike and there is Receiver with problems he brings up his time philly and says how worthless he was.

if you think marshall is one of the best WR's in the world then you need to actually watch some football.  He's a good WR better then desean in every way but no where close to the best in the world.

So I guess when I type nut job you read horrible on field talent.  Because otherwise you just agreed with me.  Considering I never once compared any of the players I listed to Jackson as far as there on field ability.  hell haynesworth doesn't even play the same position.

Now your saying Jackson is a good possibly all pro WR who dogged it but yet he has no trade value????

Come on man you better be drunk otherwise your making a complete fool of yourself.

Please don't pretend like you know me, my a**, or anything I've done with my life.  You just continue to make a complete fool out yourself

No, theres no point in reading anything you write because you dont know anything about any of these players you are talking about.  You google their stats and they either suck or they are good.  You are a typical dumb fan and theres no point in wasting any time reading your assessment of players, trades or anything.

your the only one talking about stats. I was talking about there off field issues and the career worse years they had prior to being traded.  Giving three examples of players with talent that have other issues and still had trade value.  Like desean who has talent but other issues and still has trade value.  It's not my problem that your reading comprehension is at a 3rd grade level and you automatically assume I'm comparing deseans stats with those of other players.  Why don't you actually take some time and read what a person is actually writing before you jump in with you childish name calling and throwing around pointless stats, trying to make a point that no one is disputing.

You said yourself desean is a good possibly all pro-quality WR who dogs it. So does he have trade value or not????

He is more valuable than the pick you will get back.  So keep him and let the new coach find a way to use him.  If it works out and you want to get rid of him then, guess what?  More trade value...yippy!

If I worked 110% for the rest of my life, until I was a broken and bitter old man, maybe, just MAYBE I'd earn the right to enter the raffle where I COULD be selected to ride the underbelly of a flea stuck to John Dorenbos' sweaty left nut sack.

Reading over some of the comments from the post season locker room I have to personally wonder if the Desean Jackson contract was the right message at the right time?

Did Desean give 100%?
In his own words he claims not:

Ok here are the details

Looking at the details of the Philadelphia Eagles' new contract with DeSean Jackson, it looks pretty favorable for the team. As I understand it, the base value of the deal is $47 million over five years, with escalators that could push it as high as $51 million if he plays all five years and meets them all. It also includes $15 million in fully guaranteed money and an additional $3 million in injury guarantees. Of the $15 million guaranteed, he gets $14.75 million in the first two years.

Per a league source, Jackson gets a $10 million signing bonus and a $750,000 base salary in 2012. He gets a $6.75 million base salary in 2013, and $4 million of that is fully guaranteed while the rest is guaranteed only against injury. Of his $10.25 million 2014 salary, only $250,000 is fully guaranteed and $250,000 is guaranteed against injury. He's eligible for a $250,000 workout bonus in each year of the deal, and his base salaries for the final two years are not guaranteed.

And then folks here you have the results:

http://espn.go.com/n.../desean-jackson

45 receptions, 700 yards, 2 TD and one Fumble

he is ranked 55 in WR's

DeSean Jackson Admits He Was Scared of Getting Hurt, So Didn’t Give Full Effort

http://blacksportson...ve-full-effort/

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson has told ESPN’s Lisa Salters that he didn’t play as hard as he could in 2011, because he was afraid of getting injured.
“I let it get to me, even though I tried not to let it. I was trying to protect myself from getting hurt — now I’m just giving it all,” said Jackson.

I cannot imagine watching this guy get a contract after his effort had anything positive to add to the locker room.

Oh and Demetrius Bell and Bobby April also deserve allot of credit for an epic failure of a season

47 million/ pay me 47 million and I woudl play my butt off for that team, what the heck is wrong with these players?

This offense has run fine with these WR's on the team. All WR's on all teams are divas and the WR corner of the locker room isn't where you will find the epicenter of team chemistry in any locker room in the league. Maybe getting Peters back ont he field and having a coach who plays to the strength of the players will help out. This team needs some personnel upgrades in several areas. they don't need to get too worked up trying to upgrade the WR position. Maybe get a safety who can play or figure out why Asomugha stinks so bad right now.

I called him on it but he's just a punk that needs to be dealt with. I just sent the mod a message. Hopefully he'll do something. This is pathetic.

when haynesworth was traded he was coming off his career worst year that included a suspension for taking a players helmet off and then stomping on his head, moss was traded after a couple really bad seasons in Oakland. Brandon marshall was thrown out of Denver then did nothing in Miami and was traded to Chicago a week after yet another arrest.  If you think any of these players were traded when they were performing at a franchise level then you might not know the game very well.

This blew my mind. It had me second guessing whether or not I was still feeling that NYE alcohol lol.

Haynesworth wasn't traded.
He was coming off his best year.
The head stomping incident was in 2006.

Marshall, was traded to Chicago after yet another Pro Bowl year - in Miami.

Moss was the only person you were right about and it blows my mind how blatantly wrong this was. I give #99 credit for entertaining you as long as he did.

As stated above, Marshall was traded after a Pro Bowl year. He only netted the Dolphins 2 3rds. Mind you he was coming off his 5th consecutive 1,000 yard season and was only one year removed from back to back to back 100 catch seasons. To add to that, he also has the ideal size and physicality for position. So while I am a big fan of DJ, I don't see 2 3rds happening. I am not sure teams reach like that for receivers... they certainly do for quarterbacks, but not smallish receivers.
