6-3 240lbs! The eagles need help at LB in the worst way. Maybe this kid can start playing at SAM and then move in the middle after Ryan's is done playing. I'm just really trying to find us a SAM. Jones is a medical risk and Barr is returning to school..

Yeah ogletree is a monster. assuming we stay in the 4-3 I doubt we take a risk on a guy who we don't know if he could play in a 4-3 despite his measurables.

Legit 4-3 OLB we should keep an I eye on in 2-3 round range
Chase Thomas
Khasheem Greene
Shayne Skov
Gerald Hodges
Arthur brown

If be happy with any if we fill other needs first

This guy is a monster. Easily the most talented Linebacker in the draft.

I dont see Chase Thomas as a fit in the 4-3, and some of those guys dont look like SAM prospects. Namely Green and Brown. Theyd be a little undersized there.

This is probably the guy you should have started with anyway...

I have only watched 2 Georgia games & he stood out in both to me alot. Where is he projected in the Draft? I would love to get him but I dont know if he would be worth the 4th pick in the Draft, seems like a legit 1st RD pick though.

he might be a 1st rounder. he is a former safety so his workout should be pretty impressive. couple that with his tape and hes a good looking prospect.
Im hoping we can get him with our 2nd round pick, but Im not counting on it.

Right now, probably mid to late 1st. Really like this guy, if he does play MLB he needs to add on a little weight which shouldn't be a problem.

He's got a lot of length, he's def got the strength the shed blocks as well...if we could nab him in the second maybe.  The problem is, IDK if it's worth investing a pick that high for a kid that might only play in certain packages and the rare occasion when the base D is on the field.

Easily the 2nd best LB in this draft behind Jarvis Jones. (without injury). Ya boy Manti Te'o comes in a sloppy 3rd after the championship game..

No doubt. Teo had more draft stock this time last year. Last night really diminished his coverage skills, Teo was getting beat all night long, although I think his missed tackles were just a case of the way things were going in that game......but his coverage skills got exploited big time.

I'm honestly not a huge fan... but I wouldn't be upset.

He is a physical beast... but his read and react just feels so slow. And he doesn't look like he hustles. Almost like he's always jogging around.

Ryan's replacement!! Moving to a 3-4 no problem. Get Jones at 4 then trade back into the bottom of the 1st to get Ogletree..

I would get Dion Jordan then, go trade up into the bottom of the first and get Olgetree

Jones has a degenerative spine issue...Ogletree will be a top 15, maybe 10 pick when everythign is said and done.

If we move to a 3-4, I'll love Chase Thomas if hes available in the 3rd.

Why settle for Thomas when Ogletree is 100× better? Ogletree is a playmaker that this young LB group needs. Thomas is just a good player, a plug in dependable kinda player. He's flashed with some good plays before, I'm not saying Thomas is a bum. He just isn't nearly the player AO is now or even 6 years from now IMO..

i like this kid too, like you said jones has issues(health) and we really need lb corp depth ...ogletree would be good alongside of ryans and kendricks

Yup he's a  mid1st rounder for sure. If the eagles make some moves from 4, we can have this kid plus extra picks. Listen, from 4?? Man......... we could move twice and still get AO..

If Jarvis Jones is not our pick at #4, we gotta go with this logic. I'd rather have this kid as one of our 3-4 MLB. Even if we stay in a 4-3 the kid could move to SAM..

Rotoworld:

Georgia ILB Alec Ogletree was arrested on DUI charges last weekend.

Ogletree was also suspended four games in 2012 for violating the Georgia football team's substance abuse policy. He allegedly failed "positive drug tests," plural.

Ogletree was suspended once more in 2010 for stealing a motor scooter from fellow UGA student.

However the NFL says teams "care" about character issues but if a guy is athletic and tears up the combine he will go high. It's a shame. All olgetree has to do is have a great pro day and combine and he's set. All Burfict had to do was not be a fat slob at the combine and he would have gotten drafted. Two different people and olgetree is worlds more athletic but you get my point. In this win now or get fired NFL if a guy can okay and is athletic then the overlook the problems. Janoris Jenkins is the perfect example. Admitted to GMs that he still smoked and they loved the honesty..what?? Lol

It's really sad, but true.

On a side note though, IMO one of the most underrated moves Chip made this off-season is bringing James Harris with him from Oregon.  He has a degree in nutrition, but his main job is just to make sure guys on the team have their personal lives together.  Bills, money-management, personal relationships, post football careers, etc.  Basically a mentor for the young players.  No one really talks about it that much but to me it speaks a lot about how Kelly wants to run things here.

Kelly runs his programs like a CEO of a busines. He likes the team to be like a family.
