Lurie said one thing that I thought was very interesting.

Although I don't know if they will hire someone within the next week. They have a lot of candidates that other teams have on their list to.

It also meant he started the process of having that tribute ball made - the one he gave to Andy after announcing he was fired.

I don't believe the decision will come sooner but I think the Eagles were identifying potential candidates to interview. I believe they started doing their homework and trying to find out what they can about coaches so the team would be ahead of the game when they were allowed to start officially.

A Math error is a lie? Really? And exactly what would be his purpose in consciously fabricating that particular statement?

He said that he starting leaning (heavily) in the direction of firing him at that point but that he didn't make the final decision until Monday morning because he wanted to wait until all the games were played and every factor was taken into consideration.

He denied that as well - he said that he had heard all those rumors but that he told Andy on Monday morning at 9:30 am.

He did not say it in the PC. In the PC, he said that his final decision had come Monday morning and that, contrary to the rumors, he had not fired Andy on Friday.
Andy also told Vai Sikahema on Sunday night that he hadn't been fired yet. Who knows what the truth is but there has never been any confirmation that the Friday firing happened.

It's at 5:38 when he is specifically asked when he decided to fire Andy and when he told him.

he said last year 8-8 wasnt good enough, so when he saw the team get 8 losses he knew he would fire andy. where is he lying again cuz it would seem hes a man of his word on that one.

Oh, I think so, too and that is pretty much what he said (if you read between the lines.) I actually think that was the right decision ... I am glad we are moving on but there was no point in firing Andy mid-season without anyone capable of taking his place. Marty as interim HC would have been an even bigger nightmare.

I really don't believe him when he says he made the decision that morning though. Just a feeling though.

Lurie said that, on Friday, they discussed AR's vision for the future of the team and that Andy was excited for it, even though he knew he'd likely be fired. On Sunday, Andy said he hadn't been fired, hadn't talked to Jeffrey about "any of that." Referring to his future, not the future of the franchise. It's all crafty wordsmanship. Doesn't really catch Andy in a lie, per se, because he hadn't formally been fired at that time ... but they were all clearly dancing around the topic. Obviously, Jeff knew it was coming, Andy knew it, we all knew it.

I am rooting for McCoy at this point, not sold on Kelly, and others... I like what I have heard about McCoy.......so far.

Not true.
The last win came against the Bucs. Going into that game, we were 3-9. Coming out, we were 4-9, then proceeded to lose the last three games, ending up at 4-12. At no point we were ever 4-8 (because the 4th win came after we'd already lost 9.)
I believe that Lurie just misspoke. I don't think it was his intent to decieve; I think he was just referring to when it became clear to him that we were going to fall short of last season. But the poster who said we were never 4-8 was, indeed, correct.
