The guy has to be in the picture, there's just no way he can't be. Is Jeff saving him for last?

He is serving as Lurie's butler until the new coach comes in and sends him packing.

I don't see other teams clamoring to interview him either.

Jeff's just saving him for last, he's putting on a show for us. After the 'exhaustive search', 'leaving no stone unturned' they will come back to the only logical solution that their guy has been right there all along. He'll be the highest paid coach in NFL history, just to show that they aren't cheap when they announce it on April 24th. Why else do you think Marty brought in a new DE and CB the other day? It's all hush hush right now is all. After all just think of all the records the guys offense has broken over the years, he's an offensive savant. Andy was just holding him back is all, much like Howie. :-)

They've already satisfied the Rooney Rule.

Can't help but think Marty's shocked by Reid leaving him hung out to dry. His last presser was all about what "we" accomplished and one door closes another exciting opportunity opens stuff. Read a KC article that said Reid intends to take a more hands on approach to the offense..

His contract expires in February, so it'll only be for a few more weeks tops. I had read that for reasons not altogether clear to me, there were about 4 teams interested in having him be their OC.

I guess they read and believe the national media too.       After all, he's part of the vaunted Reid Coaching Tree.

Marty- the "offensive genius" is still the only HC in NFL history who deferred after winning OT coin flip while in Detroit

The scary part is that Marty is as good a candidate as some of the generic guys mentioned: Nolan, Mccoy, Bradley, Marrone.  They are all on the same level.
