This is a very good mock draft that would set a really nice base for the future.

I really liked him for us too. So who replaces him?

Swope? Dobson?

solid draft but i agree with some above - no way STL makes this trade in a draft that is generally considered weaker.

I also think people need to come to the realization that this team has way too many holes to fill in one offseason if we are going to do this thing the right way.  with 7-10 glaring holes on this team (CBx2,FS,SS,OLB,DT,OT,OG for starters) we need to think long-term and go BPA all the way in the draft.

Argh... I should just wait until the deadline for everybody to declare and then reassess this draft.

And yeah, the STL trade may be wishful thinking, but at least it's feasible if the Rams really wanted somebody at #4.

I tried to go some form of BPA in this draft, unthought picking offensive skill positions might not be BPA in the 4th round if a DE or a DT falls. Above all...  Don't care so much who they draft as much as I just want good players at all positions. I tried to make my later picks not heavy risk-reward picks but safe depth picks with upside. I see starters coming from rounds 1-4 and anything you can get from rounds 5-7 above depth is awesome.

I do see Foltz as a future starter, and I liked Matthews as a "#2 type of guy".

But I like the way you think, birdguy, BPA should be our goal if we really want to affect a change over 2-3 years. The "positions we're needy at" will usually sort themselves out from there.

You just really like this whole idea that the Rams are the Eagles draft buddies, giving us everything without rational thinking..................Get over this trade out scenario with Stl bud, it's gonna hurt your health............

I've made other mocks... these last two have just been some trade down scenarios. A trade down could happen with LITERALLY any team. I just choose STL because having two 1st round picks, they *might* be *more* willing to let go of some of their 2nd-4th round picks. That's all. I can repeat simulations for a trade down with every team in the league, but that would take a while. Do I honestly think STL will trade with us come draft day? No, the odds are against that happening moreso than they are for it happening. But I'm exploring some different scenarios. That's all I'm doing.

How would the value work for us trading SL #4 in exchange for #16, a second and a fourth/fifth? That way they still have two first round picks and we're in prime position for Elam

EDITED: Replaced Trey Millard (FB, Oklahoma, returning to school) with Lonnie Pryor (FB, Florida State).
If you want a FB that can do it all? ? ? You have found that player in Trey Millard! He can line up at TE, FB, RB, WR...heck, maybe even LB!
