To be more exact, Howard Eskin and Rueben Frank are saying that. Might be the same thing in this case I know. I find it hard to believe that the Eagles would make keeping Duce around a condition for whoever they hire as HC. Typically a new coach gets to hire his own staff. But hey the Eagles are a team that hires a D-line coach and then has to find a DC willing to work with him. So they've done stranger things.

I can confirm Howard Eskin report that Duce Staley will remain with the Eagles in some role whoever the new coach is. Eagles love Duuuuuuce.

Exactly he could be the Offensive Quality Control coach, Asst. RB Coach, or even RB coach. Who knows.

It's not like the new coach is gonna be told that they have to keep the coordinators and most of the position coaches. It doesn't hurt having somebody like Duce around and I don't think it'd be a deal breaker either. They can find a spot for Duce. He was only the Special Teams Quality Control Coach. He can keep the same position have a similar position or get something else. Who knows.

FO might fear the backlash for cutting a fan's favourite. I think the sting from Dawkins is still in their minds.
