when we had a team of players who cared, played their butts off, showed heart and we were winning AR was great.... everyone loved him.

now, we have a team of overpaid pretty boys who have no heart and play with an arrogance that is unmatched anywhere in sports and they suck as a team collectively and most of you morons dont know anything about team sports or the game of football so you decide its solely ANDY REID's fault, as if he was the one underachieving game after game play after play, as if it was him making mental mistakes constantly on sundays, and as if he was the one losing games all by himself.

this was your only scapegoat as to why this team sucked so bad, "cantz be the playerzz fault!!! kurt colemanz has heart!! nnamdi was a shutdownz corner his whole career!!!"  so in typical philly fan fashion we have run a man out of town who is easily the best on the market at his job, a man who has enjoyed plenty of greatness here, a man who dug us out of the basement in the dark ages and as soon as times got tough we abandon him.... amazing.

well i hope each and everyone of you morons who wanted him gone is happy.... i hope for the next 10 years while we are all not watching football come playoff time because the eagles arent in that you remember this time. and when andy wins a SB with the chiefs before the eagles win one i want you to remember this post and how foolish you all are.

and to boot, now they are considering switching our defense to a 3-4..lmao.... this is a lesson that should have been learned at the child level. "be careful what you wish for"

What about in 2011 when people were chanting fire Andy and he brought him back?

Fact remains Andy's approach got stale and was outdated. Lurie hasn't listened to what the fans wanted if that was the case things would've been different with this franchise a long time ago. After 14 seasons things needed to change for both Reid & the Eagles. Reid was the driving force behind loading up on free agents and bringing in high priced talent, it didn't work. Reid was the one who decided to put an offensive line coach in the defensive coordinator spot. Reid was the one who wanted to bring in a DL coach who runs a gimmick scheme and it didn't work.

Don't sit up here and act like the fans have no right to express their frustration and their opinions if they're not satisfied with the job Reid was doing as of late. If you wanna keep following Andy Reid, follow him to KC.

The fans made Andy follow an 8-8 season with a 4-12 season?

I thought Lurie fired Andy for leading us to our worst record in over a decade.  But apparently it was because of the fans.

there are so many things wrong with your post.... i'll just leave it at this

- 14 years of him saying "ive got to do a better job"
- ineffective drafting, not replacing star players, bad gameday management
- not holding players accountable

the head coach is the ultimate leader of the team. he's the one in charge. he makes sure everyone knows their jobs on sunday. if a player blows a coverage or misses an assignment, its because the coaches did not do their jobs. its the head coaches job to make sure the other coaches know their stuff..... so basically, the performance of the team IS the head coaches fault.

and if you honestly think KC will win a super bowl with andy reid... you need to put the drugs away ok ?? crack is whack

the only thing accurate in your post is players not being held accountable.... like todd bolwes said, coaches cant take the field and play for the players.

and the reason andy always said he needed to do a better job and its his responsibility is because he is a classy guy who takes the bullet for his players, what do you expect him to say?  "those guys sucked out there" "if i had players with heart like i did in years past it wouldnt be like this"????

Hello The Giants just won 2 of those in the last 7 years.... Coughlin didn't need 14 years... why should Reid? Fassell took the Giants to the SB and lost within 5 years of mediocrity they fired him and brought in coughlin... all he did was win 2.......  Thats a winners mentality

The Saints, Bucs, Ravens, Packers, Rams, all have won one in that same time period...... these are teams that were or are stinking up the joint...  Yes Reid kept us fairly competetive But that isn't enough. Who else would get a finger pointed toward them on the staff, when HIS team won its final four games in 2011 JUST to reach 8-8. Foles VS Washington was the only legitimate win we had this year, and that came on the last play of the game. Questionable P.I call VS Baltimore. NYG missing a game winning FG by the nose of the ball. 5 turn overs against Cleveland and a Brown drops turnover #6 in the end zone, which would of ended the game in a loss. We finish at 4-12. If you dont pull the plug at this point, when do you!? Who is in charge of holding players accountable for their actions? They are grown men and its sad that someone even needs to, but the fact of the matter is is that they do need someone.

i respectfully disagree,, we dont even know who they are gonna hire yet but one thing is for sure, 3 or 4 of the names that have been thrown around are unproven crap shoots at best.... and the other few names i have heard i dont want coaching this team.
