If this happens, which I think will happen,  next season is really going to be something to watch.

How would that repeat history? He's never had the first pick in the draft before.

I would love it if KC took Geno. But, the bad thing is, they would probably trade down and get him.

I've been a Chiefs fan for 35+ years. Willie Lanier was my favorite as a kid. I live about 30-minutes from Philadelphia and I started rooting for the Eagles as well a few years later. It's been an aggravating road as neither has won it all since I became a fan. Since I live here, I get to see any Eagles game I can or want to and I've seen plenty of Andy Reid.
He is NOT the answer. Are you a big fan of passing on 3rd and short or 4th and short? He is. Are you happy with no-name/no-talent linebackers. He is. Do you like to stick to the plan no matter how things are going in the game? He does.
When your team is struggling with the opponets, do you want your coach to devise some brilliant and novel strategies on the spur of the moment to win you the game? He won't. Do you want a brilliant clock manager? He isn't. Do you want someone who gives freedom to the players on the field or do you want a micromanager who keeps the offense plodding along even when it's hurry-up time? He is the latter.
Andy Reid is the Grim Reaper and we don't want him here. This is my worst nightmare. I was so hoping he would end up in San Diego so he could keep them down for a few years. He should have been fired five years ago. I would have loved to have seen some time with Donovan McNabb in his prime with a different head coach/offensive game plan. I think he could have been awesome.
Andy Reid looks good when his players win the game because they are better players. When you need gameday coaching and on-the-fly strategy, especially in the 4th quarter, Andy will fail. If the Chiefs have any success in the next few years, it will be because the drafts are great and the coordinators can do their jobs. I have no confidence in Andy. I may have to wear a black armband over my Chiefs shirt if he gets hired.

my thoughts exactly, has to be a Birds Phan, wonder why he is a Chiefs fan? I have seen several Philly area fans on these boards that are diehard Cowboys fans. etc.

what the heck is mcnabb going to teach another qb, how not to study film, how to come into camp over weight and out of shape and how to throw balls in the dirt, macnabb was a lot of things what he wasnt was a student of the game.

One thing's for crtain:

If Reid becomes the HC in KC, Peyton Hillis is gone.

Fat Boy will clearly find Hillis to be much "too slow" for his tastes.

Reid's not the same coach he used to be before his sons got in trouble. Dont think KC will help him. I expect him to get fired again in the next 3-4 years. The guy simply has too much to deal with and wont do it.

Tough to say. McNabb was his first pick, but he also drafted our 'future franchise QB' in the 2nd, then signed the 'defacto franchise QB' as a FA.

You're absolutely right.  He hasn't been the same guy since that summer (who can blame him).  I hope the change of scenery does him good.

I think Reid will build with a new QB but in 1999 you sat rookies.
Rookie QBs play from day one now so a veteran would not help.

The RG3 and Cousins model was laughed at (by me as well) but it looks solid at this point.
I see a QB in round 1 and a younger prospect or pick as backup.
No QB on the 2012 roster should remain.
2013 will be a building year but they will aim higher than 5-11.

Can anyone cite anything in McNabb's history that shows he would be a good mentor and backup.
BTW, Pederson was absolutely awful in that role for 1999.
