reid was here for a lifetime and while most of us agreed that the time was way past due for change, most people here still respect what he did here and still has mad love for andy. i find it odd that andy chose not to adress his fans on his way out. i dont know if its normal for hc's to do this but like i said andys situation was different because he was here for so long.

so no goodbyes, no "thanks for the support" or anything as of yet

I was kinda surprised by this myself. I'm not gonna lose any respect for him or anything, but it would have been a nice gesture.

Who cares. He was a good coach for us, but the writing was on the wall.

Personally I don't care that he didn't say goodbye or take an ad out in the paper or release a statement or any of that. It's a business. Andy Reid never showed a real connection with the fans or really endeared himself to the fans so I wouldn't expect that to start now.

He never said anything in his weekly chances to talk to the people - press conferences.  So why do you think is, all of a sudden, going to open up and actually say anything of substance now?

Fired coaches are never in the press conferences.  Why would Andy be different?  If he wants to thank the fans after he's settled in KC or Arizona or San Diego, fine.  Right now he's trying to get a job...

He could have given a shout out to the fans, but did you see the 'employees chat'? The office folks were clapping and he mentioned usually getting boo'd.
He doesn't like this city, the fans, or these players (calls them 'kids' all the time).

"Id like to take a minute to thank Eagles Nation, we needed to do a better job and was close a couple times, but we just didnt get it done .. And hey, thats on me. Its my responsibility to um to um * cough * get this team ready to play and so this falls on me. We had a good run *cough* but its just time for a change, not only for the Philadelphia Eagles, but myself *cough* as well" - Andy Reid

Must be to "thin skinned" to handle our "passion"

F him. Let's get a coach who understands us and can handle getting booed, death threats and having his every little move criticized by people who never played a down of football in their lives.

yeah, can't believe he couldn't at least sneak a tweet in during his meetings with the Chiefs! ^_^

doesn't he know we philly fans have a strict timeline for accepting his thanks? he should have known that the WIP listeners would have spent all their $ on alcohol for New Years and can't afford to buy a newspaper now. :nonono:

His cough is disturbing and Ive noticed he does it year around. Spring - Summer - Fall - Winter, doesnt matter. I would say he did it just to buy a lil more time in his head as to what he was gonna say, but he does it on the sidelines during games, so that debunks that myth.

Its either:
A) A fat thing
B) Has a medical issue he needs to be evaluated on

I was shocked that he didn't at least say something. I respect reid but I do think it was a poor choice on his part especially when a lot of the fans were behind him and supported him after his son died. i remember the first game he came back the fans had a Andy chant. I don't hate reid and I love everything he did for us and the memories he gave me, but realistically it was time for a change.

TATE = Bitter

Reid = Most likely excited about getting on with the next phase of his coaching career while making millions of dollars doing what he was born to do.

In case some of you haven't accessed the internet, read a newspaper, or turned on the TV I'll inform you that Reid has been pretty busy since Monday.  Who's to say he won't address the Eagles fan base down the road?  Personally, I don't think he owes us squat.  He addressed Lurie and the team.  That's all he's obligated to do.

Geez, I wonder how many fans on these boards have...
*started multi charities and have literally donated hundreds of thousands of dollars
*spent endless holidays at childrens hospitals
*spent endless holidays giving out toys to children
*gone to endless shelters to support them and give money

Seriously people. I get it that you all had to take your ball and go home becuase Andy didn't say much at his press conferences. Whippy crap. Big friggen deal.
And I get it that he didn't win a SB. But if you are judging a person on those 2 things,,,, you all need help. Serious help.
What he does as a coach has ABSOLUTELY ZERO BEARING on the type of human being he is.
LMFAO to the people judging a person because of a silly arse football game.
