It was really strange, because it sounded like I was listening to the same part from earlier in the broadcast.  It makes me wonder if that's what many defensive players think when they're on the sideline and the offense is struggling at times (for all teams).
Seeing as he said the same thing twice, it makes me wonder if he's just talking to fill air. Not that it really matters.

My feeling exactly.

The most damning (and stunning to hear) part was his comment that in a game with equal talent, where it came down to coaching, that Reid would normally lose. He followed that up with the bit about big games.

In my opinion the SB was a prime example.

An example of having a 2 down LB abuse all day, then JJ putting in a 6' 2 222 LB guy who was abused even more, the whole team and coaching staff lost that game, it's that simple.

So in your opinion was Reid ever out coached? Was in game adjustments and time management one of Reid's strengths?

I don't get the point of putting Trotter down. He might not have been the best LB the Eagles have ever had, but over the past decade plus he was the only good MLB they have had. And his replacements have been pitiful, costing us chances of advancing further in the playoffs.

Sure was, just like any other successful and unsuccessful coach in the NFL past and present, just get sick of "certain ex eagles players rip such in such" Douglass and Trotter would've never sniffed a SB appearance if it was'nt for Reid

Badmeets, you have to understand that Rodney is a guy who feels Reid is a better coach than Belicheck.     He's never had a good word to say about a guy who has won three SB's, and ran defenses that supplied Parcells with any success he ever had.

Meanwhile, he'll slam JJ, Trotter, and anyone else here before saying a single bad word about a guy who won nothing, and has barely been .500 since 2005.

Rationality is not exactly in the equation here.

Yeah, 'a', as in one in a decade and a half.

And notice the word 'appearance' in place of the 'multiple championships' that great coaches achieve.

Never compaired Reid to Bellicheat, just gave you some things that are true, Reid has done nothing since 04, neither has BB, if you don't win the SB, the season is a failure, every coach and every player says this. If you think i'm a Reid supporter, then think again, but you act as if 2 losing seasons in 14 years is "mediocre?"

PS- Bellicheck was'nt the DC for the 96 SB Patriots, it was Al Grohl

Love always , Rodney

If you really want to compare a mediocrity like Reid to a champion like Belicheck (who, while Reid was 4-12, is resting during bye week), knock yourself out.

We'll still be pals, Rodney. We'll always have REM.      At least the IRS years.   ;)

You are incorrect.

The never would have sniffed a SB appearance if it wasn't for Terrell Owens.

They may have sniffed 3 or 4 SB appearances if it wasn't for Andy Reid's inability to adjust during a game.

Reid has a losing record against good teams. Good teams have good coaches. Do the freaking math. Worst game day coach in the league.

Again, Eagles were right to part with Andy Reid. But it should tell his detractors something that he was unemployed for four days.

Bad organizations make bad coaching decisions, that's what it tells me. But for Vermeil the Chiefs have been rudderless since the Shottenheimer days..

5 games over .500 in the last 8 seasons.  Hasn't made the playoffs in 2 years.  Hasn't won a playoff game in 4 years.

And I really appreciate the one last reprimand from the national media. F Graziano & all the rest of them. I can't wait to hear what these arseclowns will have to say in a year or two from now.

WOW!!!! I dont like this article... I LOVE IT. Thank you so much for posting this. Reid was always smart to surround himself with great coaching and players. Jim Johnson was the last of those great coaches on this team, when he died... the team completely fell apart.

Opinions about his coaching ability are inconsequential to me now.  No amount of praising or detracting will change the fact that we did not win the SB, nor did we get there more than once.  Regardless of the person, player, or former coach, the fact is AR did not achieve the final goal of the organization, city, and fan base.  HOWEVER, neither has any other Eagles coach in our team history.  So, my real QUESTION is, will the next coach be the one that takes us to the promised land?

First of all, Trot is in a tough spot. He's part of the media now. He has to play the media game. I get that. It's very hard. He wasn't ripping AR, but he was critical of some things and that's part of it. I look at it and say, "Boy, nobody ripped the defense when it let the lead go against the Patriots in the Super Bowl." Nobody criticized the D for the loss in St. Louis, etc. I would rather not criticize a head coach who led the Eagles to as many wins as AR did, but the nature of our world now is that you HAVE to be critical instead of just letting it go.

No problem with Trotter. Headines took what he said out of context.
