I thought Foles was Andy's call. I heard Andy really wanted Foles but Howie wanted Cousins. I just can't remember were I heard that info. I believe on one of the local sports radio stations, I just cant remember where, but know I heard it..

From what I heard, Andy wanted to draft Russell Wilson.  They expected to land him because there was no expectation of Seattle drafting him since they went ahead and signed Matt Flynn.  With all their eggs in the Wilson basket in the third round, they went ahead and drafted the next best QB on their board.

A side thought: If Russell Wilson was on this team, I don't think he would have saved Andy's job, but I would feel a lot more comfortable with the Chip Kelly hire if he was behind center.

I think andy coveted russell wilson too.  I found it odd that philadelphia eagles.com a combine interview with that black guy that cohosts alot of eagles live with dave spadaro.  I loved russell wilsom comingout of the draft and was praying to land him.  I made a bet with a friend in the preseason that russell would win ROY and he gave me 3:1 odds lol he still might win n would have my vote

Eagles311 has it right.  Reid and Howie had Russell landing in our 3 rd round lap.  Seattle jumped ahead and stole our thunder.  It shows that Reid still knew qbs.  No sense crying now.  But my, how quickly we fell from contention to alsoran.

You guys are funny, Foles played well with a terrible Oline last year and even in college he had a bad Oline which actually worked to his advantage because he learned how to get rid of the ball quickly.  

Isn't it obvious that Foles played great for a rookie after seeing how much the offense improved and then Vick gets the last game of the season to redeem himself and the offense collapses just like before.  Open your eyes guys.....Foles is going to be even better with an Oline next year.
