We shall see - free agency occurs prior to the draft - so if the Chiefs let Branden Albert go then Joeckel at #1 is a virtual lock. OTH if they resign Albert it is a virtual lock that they will not draft Joeckel.

If they let Albert walk, we should sign him.

And if Geno Smith then falls to us, we should trade the pick for a slew of picks a la St Louis.

I think Andy will take Geno Smith.  KC's biggest need is definitely QB and there isn't anyone good that's going to be available in free agency (unless Flacco leaves Baltimore, which is doubtful) and I think Andy knows he can't win without a QB,

I think Reid will try to trade out of 1st pick but may not have many takers. We need to wait until after combines to see who they create as the next great player.

this is what I think is almost guaranteed to happen. I can't see any coach going into the year with Cassel and Quinn as their QBs

You don't think Reid could use Alex Smith as a stop gap till he gets his ideal QB?
