If they are blown away by an interview do they start negotiations?
Do you think they have a numerical list of candidates that they plan on interviewing regardless of being "blown away"?
I could see waiting it out and deciding being beneficial, but at the same time I could see locking someone up that they feel is their man and not wanting to give another team a chance at him.
Luries been around for awhile and I trust that he will make a good decision. You can talk down on him and the FO all you want, but you cant deny him finding Reid. Yea there was no SB, but he brought many great years.
If our HC is currently on a playoff team are we allowed to pretty much lock him up and say "Your our man"?

it's very strange. i really fell like lurie doesn't even know what he wants. we seem to be interviewing absolutely everyone. as i supsected andy reid would be hired in less than a week (which happened). It's funny enough that the coach we fired was one of the top available candidates lol Anyhow i think its wierd that we have so many interviews and i would love to say i have full faith in lurie and that he knows what he is doing but right now i am not so sure...

- Bradley
- Bradley
- Bradley
- McCoy
- Arians
- Gruden/Kelly/
- Everyone else
I wanted to at least interview Marrone. Kinda irks me that he would choose that fast. Why not even let everyone scheduled interview you? He know something we dont (Kelly)? Whats the advantage to that? He was afraid no one else would want him? Signing with the 1st/2nd team that interviews you, when there are a host of others interested just doesnt make good sense to me. Kinda makes me think he doesnt have confidence in himself or something. Unless of course he just wanted to stay in New York for some reason.

Yeah, I think having to up and move ones family 150 miles is a hell of a lot better than moving them across the country. Not sayin' that's the sole factor, but if he has a family, I'm sure it plays into it to some extent. Either way, the Bills tagged their guy nabbed the opportunity.

Why would you not explore all your options? You don't want to make a hasty decision. You could handstring your team for seasons by hiring the wrong man. Jeffery knows the kind of person he is looking for. He made it abundantly clear in that interview to Dave.
For him it's not just about how good of a game caller he is, its about what kind of person he is also. Can he deal with this harsh and demanding fan base and media outlet? Not everyone can. Not everyone wants to. They can have the best minds in the world when it comes to x's & o's. If they can't deal with a strong voiced and opinionated fan base, and media. Than what good are they to this organization?
So for me I'm glad he is taking the time to interview all the prospects he has on his list of canidates. Waste not, want not!

What if their target(s) is signed or about to be signed? Do they just move on down their list? Do they even have a numerical list of who they want? What if IF Marrone was who they wanted. Do you think Marrone knew that or was they waiting to tell him in the interview that they are very fond of him as being their next coach?
Im just kinda confused as how the whole thing kinda plays out. Im sure there isnt any definitive answer, because who ever they do end up hiring they will say he was #1 on their list.
Seems like a smart way to go about it would be make a list of who you like, based on their body of work and what you know of them. Then once they interview all they are going to make a new list based off JUST the interview. Then compare list/notes and hire the top out of both list combined? Or is that stupid? Its late/early and Im goin on no sleep, so if this is ignorant please disregard lol
