I'm glad people are 'coming out' against Howie Roseman because it shows me who the real idiots are on this board(and the media). I had an exchange with Ray Didinger where he essentially said that even though the conversation goes negative on air, he really likes the guy. You guys saying negative things about him are talking right out your collective A holes. You know NOTHING about him or what his function is.

Howie Roseman is the one area of faith I still have in this team. We now have a a functional genius helping with whatever strategy we employ him at. But Howie is NOT a leader. He is NOT for the most part even a manager. His role is more like a computer,  Only Howie can think creatively -something a computer can't do. If I have ANY faith in this team's future IT'S BECAUSE OF HOWIE ROSEMAN.

A lot of you are just looking for someone to focus all that hate on that you carry around. What a hateful group you are. Howie apparently has all the obvious traits you need to gather a lynching. Ruben Frank gets your agenda. So does anyone with any intelligence. I wish i could just change teams but I can't because I'm from Philly. You guys suck.

The hate is coming from you my friend on all who disagree with your FEELINGS.  Agenda?  Please expand on that.  What agenda?  Spell it out...why be cryptic?  Please give us facts not feelings...what accomplishments are you basing your high praise of Rosemans on.  Give us facts.  What concrete factual moves has he made that have directly resulted in wins or statistical improvements?  Why say people suck because they disagree with your FEELINGS.  Better to educate everyone on why you feel that way with FACTS not FEELINGS-  I'm open to your facts.  Please, I'd love to feel good about Roseman.  Enlighten us.

There are various agendas running in TATE but the one to run Roseman out of town is rather obvious. You act like I was hiding it. Like your opening post didn't explain it? If not maybe the other umpteen threads did. There, did i explain it for ya?

To defend Roseman in any detail I'd have to engage in the same asstalk as you guys lynching him. Because I don't know what his responsibilities are and I'm trusting Lurie's word makes me what? Naive? I'll take that any day over what it takes to grab all the non-facts to lynch him.  What it shows is that not only are you a bunch of idiots, but a bunch of idiots that can be led to hate and attack someone without reasonable cause. That's about as low as it gets in my book. I hope that squares it for ya Skip.

I am not Skip. It does not square it.  You continue to spill vitriolic dribble.  You continue to spout feelings not facts.  You come across as a very hateful guy. I'm a 51 year old man with, I think reasonable intelligence, a strong social conscienece and a background in coaching football for 15 years.  You need to calm down and look at things for WHAT THEY ARE IN FACT.  You would not be calling me an idiot if we were sitting across from each other face to face...I can assure you that my friend.  Please give us facts without hate and/or reactionary nonsense.  I won't waste you're time or mine responding to anymore temper/emotional based outbursts.  We are adults act like one.

No, the deadline to cut Vick without consequence is Feb. 6. If we fail to cut him before then, it will cost us $3 million. We could then attempt to trade him all the way until opening day and cut him without further penalty.

So you call me hateful, then basically call me out as if you want to to go to fisties, all the while completely ignoring the point I'm trying to make leaving no avenue for dialogue, and then claim I'm not acting like an adult. Bravo! You sound like someone who needs a reason NOT to hate and attack someone. Oh but wait! That's what I called you on in the first place.

Fisties...come on bro really?  You're acting like a keyboard cowboy here.  You want to have a real dialogue lets go.  What are you saying?  Are you in the habit of calling people idiots to their face at work.  Or at your kids PTA meetings.  You want to talk?  Lets talk.  Like adults.  I'll move on as if neither you or I are hateful human beings.  What the hell has Roseman done that you feel qualifies him as a genius?...I don't see it.  And spell it out...what agenda in Gods name are you talking about?

Keyboard cowboy? I see what you did there. I'm not the one trying to run Roseman out of town. That's your agenda -along with all the other people screaming for his head. I shouldn't have to present facts to keep him. The word from his inner circle should be good enough for me since I'm not privy to the extent of his involvement nor responsibility.  I use the word idiots because I don't have enough facts to call your group a bunch of anti-Semites. I just see a group of TATERs, perhaps media disciples, chasing this guy out of town with a bunch of made up BS perceptions. I don't need facts to defend him. He's not guilty of anything.

Anti-Semites...you have got to be kidding?  That's the agenda?  My wife, nieces, nephews & family...all Jewish.  She's laughing at you right now. Awesome.

Try this on for size.  Since Roseman has been involved this team has gone progressively downhill.  The record downhill...none of us have to be privy to jack to see that.  Thems are facts, pal.  Where are your facts?  There isn't an anti-Semetic bone in my body.   Based on record and his NON-FOOTBALL background he stinks on hot ice.  Just like your lame accusations, hatred and boorish tough-guy cybertalk.

Oh and by the way Reids inner-circle felt real positive about him too.  I guess you wanted him to stay too, huh?  The opinion we get as the public from some public figures "inner circle" is hardly fact.  Ever heard of the very public V.O.C before a coach or GM gets axed? ....please-

I'm not Jewish either. And regardless of what you may think, I am not trying to act tough.

This team has gone downhill since Vick has proved to be a fragile QB and turnover machine that cannot see downfield nor read a blitz, Castillo -and then Bowles have been DC -neither with any DC experience. Washburn was an absolute cancer along with his boy Babin. Mudd has proven to be a gimmick guy with a suspicious attrition rate(along with being an abject failure this year). Pair that up with an inadequate OC. Our HC with proven inadequate gameday skills from clock management to play-calling has progressively usurped more and more power and authority on this team each year.

Suffice to say; we had a mutiny this year. We also may have had the best draft we've ever had.  We also had no contractual problems. Whatever poisonous vitriol was being spewed in the locker room, it likely wasn't over money. Out of all that, to single out Howie Roseman as culpable in any way for this downfall, to say that requires overlooking a few things would be an understatement of colossal proportion.

Best draft we ever had?!?

Cox was a home run..but was a High pick and the consensus best DT in the draft ...don't act like they found him in the 6th round

Boykin-may never be anything more than a nickel corner

Foles-a huge question mark

Kendrick's--who knows if the next coach even wants him to start (Wagner, David were considerably better in year 1)

Kelly--Saying he played well is like saying a mediocre girl is hot in a room full of ugly girls (aka Dunlap, Bell)

Curry-didn't show enough one way or the other, definitely not a HOME RUN

mcnutt-cut and brought back, 0 impact

Washington --didn't even make it out of camp

Brown -talented as hell but means nothing until he can control the fumbles

***I despise Roseman and think there are 1000's of people more qualified than him...having Said that...the draft has potential...but don't give me the lurie Bs that it was a home run.

I'm not a Howie hater. I see him as a young guy who is learning on the job, The problem is that he has to learn on the job. We should have people in the front office who are experienced football men. We don't. That's a problem.

Best draft we ever had? Who said that? What part of 'may have' didn't you get?  I got to laugh at your condemnation of guys that actually had pretty good rookie seasons -especially if you consider the circumstances. You 'despise' Roseman? You know jack****. You didn't even interpret my post correctly.

Thanks for staying within reason. No he doesn't have a lot of football experience. GM is just a title. He's not a manager. He's not a leader. He's just a great big brain capable of handling huge amounts of data and creating strategies. Howie doesn't work alone. As part of a group that includes 'football people' he is a huge asset.

Not really suprised that EMB would be hot under the collar when it is has been 1 week without a coach to complain about.

Except he hasn't proven that yet. I don't buy that he had little role in the drafts before this year. Those drafts were actually loaded with a lot of rookie mistakes. It was determined we needed defensive ends, for instance, so Howie drafted 5 of them, with the hope that the more you draft the higher the likelihood you'll hit on one or two. He actually said that. So I think his drafts stunk early, but got better, and I think they did because he does self evaluate well and learns from his mistakes. There have been many mistakes though, with free agents as well, so you can't really say he's a huge asset, you can say he's getting better and may become one. And realistically, that's what head coaching candidates see and that's what they have to be concerned about.

To say most if not all of those mistakes weren't Reidesque is a jump. There was a desperation after 2009 and a lot of acquisitions were not thoroughly vetted. 'Vetting' is not Howie Roseman's job however. How many of these acquisitions weren't heralded by the league as brilliant anyway?

You want to point out discrepancies, bring up the reaches. Bring up Watkins. That has Reid written all over it. It doesn't really matter though as neither of us know how it really went down. Only that Reid had the final say. And I'd say Reid was enough of a cluster**** elsewhere. Why would we not expect a new coach to eradicate these mistakes?

Not since the late '60s have I seen this magnitude of cluelessness in this organization.

Pete Retzlaff was awesome on the field, but terrible in the front office.

And unlike Retzlaff, Roseman never played the game.

The guys off the market are Andy Reid, Doug Marrone and a guy with no NFL experience. RELAX! The guys who aren't that big names are usually the ones who end up having the most success. It's up to Lurie to find the right coordinator. He's pretty much got his pick of the entire bunch.
