I know both college and NFL inside and out. I could name the HC/OC/DC for every team in the league off the top of my head. I know all the candidates and their credentials. The names left are not pretty.

You are probably one of those tools who wants Gruden or Cowher.

The Eagles most certainly are headed for dark days. I don't think they will be in the playoffs for at least 3 more years.

some people on here are insane. i'd personally be happy with mccoy or bradley. i'd be a little upset if it came to jay gruden cause i dont think he is all that worthy. nevertheless for all we know brian kelly could be a name that pops up after the ND game tomorrow

wouldn't say the weakest draft in years... AT QB? Yes. other positions? not really. plus you cannot say that until down the road. what happens if we do wind up drafting joeckel and he becomes a pro bowl type player for 10 years

I don't think the Eagles will make the playoffs for another 3 years. Just my own take on the future of the Eagles and how they relate to the NFL.

Are you really going out on a limb saying the Eagles won't make the playoffs in the next 3 years? Have you seen the personnel on this team? Do you know that Howie Roseman is going to have final say on every draft in the foreseeable future? Have you seen the list of left over coaching candidates? I put the over/under on the next Eagles playoff appearance at the year 2017, which way are you going?

Whomever they get, Lurie will say it's the guy they wanted all along. All that matters is that it's the guy they'll want 5 years from now.

i really have to question your football knowledge then if you think the eagles are going to be terrible for the next five years if they don't land the biggest red flag coach on the market in chip kelly. are you forreal? Take a look at our division real close. You think the redskins are forreal? I don't. They gave up their entire future for rgIII who can't stay healthy (as a rookie) and is looking more and more pedestrian as time goes by. Is Dallas on the uprise? They don't look like it to me. While i like dez bryant...witten is aging, ware is aging, romo has shown zero improvement since his first season and they have major personel questions going forward. What exactly are the giants? Yes i know they have two rings but every season under coughlin they hover the thin line of 8-8 and 9-7. Their defense is not what it was and they have done just as bad of a job retooling their secondary as we have. If Foles checks out we will be way ahead of the curve within two seasons.

i think the eagles success all depends on two things. first, fixing this god awful defense. we have been horrific for three years now. same problems basically. corners stink, linebackers cannot get off tackles but good defensive line. defense cannot stop anyone when it matters. second, we need foles to pan out or a qb we draft to pan out. if those two things happen we could be competing for hte division and much much more. however i do think foles can be good but im not as positive on the defense we really need either a great DC or a head that is defensive minded.

i definitely agree there. the defense is currently a train wreck. I just think that predicting that we will miss the playoffs five years in a row is a pretty warped view. Our division is a joke right now. In fact it is worse than when andy took over in 1999. I just think the rebuild can be had within two seasons if foles checks out. Washington is going to suffer for trading all those picks for rgIII. Where are the cowboys really headed? 2014 will be eli's 10th season. Will they extend him for another 5 of look in a new direction? There is a ton of uncertainty in the nfc east right now. We could just as easily be back on top in two years as we are bad for the next 5.
