Maybe play in a conference?
Never will happen , they are all about the money
Really, 5 acc teams, really?
Yep, they are scheduled to play an acc schedule, which wouldn't be bad except the acc stinks
Be independent
Why not? Cake schedule, name recognition, what more do you want?
Ranked numb one again with no affiliation?
Yes. They will always be this little town that could

Gotta say if I was in charge of ND I wouldn't do anything differently. They have an 'unfair' unique niche in the college market. If given the opportunity any team would choose the same deal.
How about this, point out real reasons why they should change.
Will that help them renew their NBC contract? No.
Will being a part of a conference help an academic school win more games? No.
Will they have more control over their brand? No.
From a pure business stance it makes no sense to avoid the advantages they already have.

ND got pounded, I admit it! But they will never be able to compete anymore until they allow the thugs to enter the University with sub standard grades, and not doing any class monitoring. It's a fact of life! C'est la vie, man. ND has to lower their standards, stop playing the Purdues, Michigan States, etc., and join a conference, even the ACC.... A little quote.......
Saban failed in the Big Ten at Michigan State where they have rules against oversigning and kids have to go to class. He failed in the NFL where you have limited draft picks.
Saban only thrives in the SEC where he can cheat the recruiting rules by oversigning and Bama would admit a ham sandwich if it ran a fast 40.
Top WR recruit Robert Foster from Pittsburgh area just surprisingly picked Bama over Pitt. His mother said it was because Pitt told him his grades weren’t good enough and he’d have to do a year of prep school. Bama said, no problem, welcome aboard son, we’ll get you eligible.
Then there are the kids on the roster who are about to have their scholarships pulled and given to new recruits.
If a Big Ten school signs a kid and he’s not as good as hey thought, they’re stick with him for 4 years. Not in the SEC. In the SEC they will pull that kid’s scholarship and give it to a new recruit. The kid could have excellent grades and be a pretty good player, but if he’s not a star, he’s gone.
Saban knows he can’t win without this advantage.
COME ON SABAN stop being a COWARD and come to the NFL!

Yes, but I wonder how much morality you infuse into your profession? If you care to reveal it?????? U know damn well what I am talking about-the protected SEC, no restrictions, idiots, no need to attend class, run a fast 40, kiss Saban's a**, why go to class, I can be another marc Ingram failure in the NFL.....and the list goes on.........

Anyway, the nepotism with nd is horrible. I interviewed theismann an Tim brown, well, they both had nd winning. Worst yet was Tim having teo number one on his heisman list.
Nd fans are everywhere and fair weather one s at that.
Mark Ingram and Javier arenas both said it best when I interviewed them in Miami...men amoung boys
