Who do you like in round 2?

What after that? Who do the Eagles target in the second round in your opinion?
I personally like Barret Jones if he's still there. Watching him last night was pretty phenomenal, and I think he's the kind of leader, and hard worker the O-line has been missing.

If the Eagles can pull this off, then I am fine with Jones in the second.

Hopefully they want Joeckel that bad.
I am fine if the Eagles draft Joeckel, but getting a corner and safety sounds like a better idea.

If we get GUS as HC I say we go the way of picking up CB and S if not I say you go Joeckel. Can you imagine what GUS would do with guys like Rhodes/Elam/Banks

I actually think Elam goes before Rhodes. Walter Football has mocked Rhodes to Philly in the second round.
If we went Joeckel and got Rhodes in the second I would be OK with it.
Then Rambo in the 3rd.

Jones would be great if by chance he'd still be available.
Otherwise wouldn't mind if Elam was our pick.
Really hard to say without knowing how the board shakes out. BPA.

This draft isn't great at the top, but it has great depth at several positions. The Rams would be stupid to move up that far, seeing how their top needs appear to be S, OLB and WR. It sounds great in theory, but I doubt Jeff Fisher would pull the trigger on that one. Now if they were running a 3-4, I could see them grabbing a Jarvis Jones...but I don't know if his coverage and point of attack take on skills warrant a pick that high for a 4-3 OLB

Kyle Long, OT, Oregon
Phillip Thomas, S, Fresno State (late second round)
Khaseem Greene, LB, Rutgers (guy just makes plays)
Logan Ryan, CB, Rutgers
Barrett Jones, OL, Alabama (after the title game, how do you not love this guy???)

With that said I'd be in favor of trading down if we have the chance...get some picks and instantly upgrade our secondary.

Here's 35 players that are consensus. If not one of those 3, just give me the best player available still on this board (although 30-35 aren't that appealing, Jordan Pryor, Dallas Thomas, and Eric Reid are three others right after that we could look at).
1. OT Luke Joeckel, Texas A&M
2. DT Star Lotulelei, Utah
3. DE Bjoern Werner, FSU
4. LB Jarvis Jones, Georgia
5. DE Demontre Moore, Texas A&M
6. CB Dee Millliner, Alabama
7. QB Geno Smith, WVU
8. DT Jonathan Hankins, Ohio St.
9. DT Sheldon Richardson, Missouri
10. LB Manti Teo, Notre Dame
11. OG Chance Warmack, Alabama
12. DE Barkevious Mingo, LSU
13. OT Eric Fisher, Central Michigan
14. CB Jonathan Banks, Miss St.
15. DE Dion Jordan, Oregon
16. LB Kevin Minter, LSU
17. G Jonathan Cooper, UNC
18. WR Keenan Allen, Cal
19. DE Sam Montgomery, LSU
20. LB Alec Ogletree, Georgia
21. DE Ezekiel Ansah, BYU
22. DT John Jenkins, Georgia
23. TE Tyler Eifert, Notre Dame
24. S Matt Elam, Florida
25. CB Xavier Rhodes, Florida St.
26. C Barrett Jones, Alabama
27. WR Cordarelle Patterson, Tennessee
28. S Kenny Vaccaro, Texas
29. DE Alex Okafor, Texas
30. RB Giovani Bernard, UNC
31. DT Sylvester Williams, UNC
32. WR Justin Hunter, Tennessee
33. WR Tavon Austin, WVU
34. WR Terrence Williams, Baylor
35. DT Jesse Williams, Alabama

I don't think he is worth our second round pick, but will not be there early in the 3rd. I do like the kid though, maybe through a trade, we can get back into the middle to end of the second......

Is it a reach? Yes. Will he be around later? No. To me I'd rather draft the player you want a bit early then be forced to take your #2 or #3 guy in a area of need. I seriously think he's the best safety in the entire draft. Looking how our safeties have played it just makes sense.
As you see in my sig line, I am double dipping at safety in my mock draft. I just could not find a scenario to get Thomas in there.
Maybe we sign Bowe, move Maclin for a second and use that pick to get Thomas.

I know Seattle went with two rookie safeties, but there's no one in this draft with the updside of Thomas. Also Chancellor somewhat came from no where to be a legit NFL safety. For this year we can't count on either of those things happening.
If that trade happened I'd be looking a tsomething like:
1 -16 - G Chance Warmack - Best Guard in the Draft
1 - 24 - CB Xavier Rhodes - He'd probably start from day 1.
2 - 35 - FS/SS Phillip Thomas - I've already let my thoughts be known
3 - 67 - CB Desmond Trufant - Depth player, but he'll be given a shot to compete and beat out Rhodes if he can.
4 - TBD (Comp picks awareded) - TE - Travis Kelce/Dion Simms - I'd prefer Simms, but Kelce will do. Either way I"m looking for someone to be a blocker first, pass catcher second.
