I continue to read with a mixture of amusement and increasing indifference the reports of interviews being conducted by the Eagles.

My question is, why the cloak and dagger?   Why not just come and and say, "well, we met with Iron Man today and the interview went well.  Future interviews may or may not happen depending on how other interviews work out."

Seriously, Seal Team Six has had more leaks about the death of Bin Laden than we've seen about head coaching interviews for the Birds.   The fans want to know, so cut the jive and clue us in please.

Thanks.

I know if I was hiring a key employee, I'd try to keep things hush hush.  The fact that the Eagles were able to pull off the Brian Kelly interview without the press finding out until after the fact is remarkable.

Keeping it a secret before the interview is understandable, especially in BK's case.

Afterward, though?   Come on, fellas.

Maybe Kelly asked for it to be kept quiet - there are both sides to all of these deals you know.

I'm assuming the privacy was a courtesy to ND and their need to recruit. With the coach leaving the interview for vacation, that leaves a long window of uncertainty.

There is no need for the fans to be involved in knowing who is being interviewed.  Let the management decide, and then you (the fan) can decide after they make their decision whether or not you like it.

Until then, STFU Rome!

I'm also a STH and whether I choose to continue throwing my... um... I mean paying for those tickets depends largely on the result of this offseason.

Sadly, there are a couple zillion suckers ...... er ..... patrons on the waiting list behind you, just waiting to pounce on those seats of yours.

Regardless of this offseason.

I have probably the most desirable pair of SBL's in the entire stadium for the money.

I could sell them in a minute and make at least triple what I paid for them if I didn't feel like waiting for even a decent offer.

It's make or break time for me.   They either quit Fing around and do what it takes to get the best or I'm out.   And if Reid was still there I'd be gone already.   47 years is enough for me.

What waiting list? I was called two years ago and passed after they lost my number from 9 years ago.

They called again this past season and I passed and hadn't even put my name on the list.

So, if there is a plethora of people on the waiting list I must be special or something.

Don't fight the traffic going to the stadium. Don't buy the overpriced concessions. Don't deal with the moron knuckledraggers in the stands. Don't freeze your jewels off. Turn on the big screen. Pop open a cold one. Walk three feet to your clean no-wait bathroom. Be back in you recliner without missing a play. Channel surf other games during breaks in the action. Don't risk your life driving home among thousands of drunk drivers. So it is written, so it shall be.

I do all that, and throw a DVR in the mix.     That avoids commercials, halftime, endless 'challenges', announcer drone, and other annoyances.

Been watching games for 10 years like that, and it's virtually impossible to sit through a live telecast anymore.

because you have 2 individuals who are involved in the process that I am sure have little or no experience with this type of process... Don Smolenski and Howie Roseman

To answer the original complaint, the Eagles have actually been very open about their plans and their process. There aren't many teams that provide any information at all when they go through a search. So I guess I'm not sure what you are not pleased with. The college coaches ... different situation. Out of courtesy for those coaches and those programs because of their recruiting, many NFL teams don't say they are talking to a college candidate.
