I think we are now seeing the collapse of the Colts in 2011 was NOT entirely his fault given what has happened with the Ravens since he replaced Cam Cameron as OC late this season:

After the Eagles, the Colts in my view were the team that was the most screwed by the lockout, and Caldwell in my view should have been given a chance to work with Andrew Luck given he had just taken the Colts to the Super Bowl two years earlier (yes, he had Dungy's players and he had Peyton, but the Colts were 14-0 before he started resting players in 2009 before they eventually lost to the Saints in the Super Bowl).  He likely has gotten Joe Flacco a huge contract whether he stays in Baltimore with the Ravens or goes elsewhere regardless of what happens in the AFC Championship game next Sunday night and I feel has earned a chance to redeem himself as an HC.

I think he's a good offensive coordinator and can be a good head coach no doubt, but after having reid (im a reid supporter too), I want to go in a different direction and get a fiery head coach, hopefully defensive minded. Caldwell is a quiet man, but he knows his offensive game no doubt. I wouldn't be mad if we got him, but much rather get some one else like Gus or my favorite rught now that no one is interviewing, Vic Fangio.

yeah, Rahim Moore making Kurt Coleman look like an All-Pro was a great playcall by him. He may be a good OC but his colts team without Manning showed he was never a great HC. He didnt need to make the playoffs but his team looked like they didnt even try. i mean the saints beat them bu 50+

So we need to be the team to give him another chance? I'll bet together we can come up with a list of at least 50 people we would rather have as HC than Caldwell. I'll start: MM. That's how bad Caldwell is.

I have to admit that the first down play of Ray Rice up the middle sure fooled the Broncos repeatedly... :D
