Our favorite guy Jason LaCanfora

Eagles interviewed former Cards HC Ken Whisenhunt today. Whisenhunt also had a recent strong interview with the Chargers

Confirmed by Spads

#Eagles confirm they met with Ken Whisenhunt on Monday morning to interview for the head coaching vacancy.

They really are leaving no stone unturned (except for Gruden's).

who aren't we interviewing lol. It's really getting concering. If you don't have a 1 and 2 choice by now out of the 20 people you've interviewed we are in trouble. If they do have two top choices why aren't we aggressively trying to get a deal done ?

Good track record but couldn't find a QB in Arizona after Warner. Really how teams do, how coaches are judged, how GMs are judged has so much to do if they have quality and stability at QB.

The Bears have interviewed more candidates that the Eagles, but they are "wise and Shrewd" picking the brains of some of the great football minds, but the Eagles are desperate according to the media.

So true.  I think Dennis Green and Gru-dog must be power-texting trying to figure what they did to piss Lurie off.

Here's the thing about Gruden. I don't think Gruden feels like he has to put his name out there.I think he feels as though if teams are interested in him they should go to him and just offer him the job and let him give them the answer. I don't think he wants to go through an interview process anywhere.

Why are the media so against this team? If this was Dallarse they'd be sucking Jerruh's shriveled sack stating he was "leaving no stone unturned". But if its the birds it's because of Roseman, qb situation, pressure of the job here, etc.

If you interview him, you have to hire him, IMO.  The pressure from the media, fans, etc. would be so great that anything else would feel like a letdown and the second guessing would start immediately.  They don't want to hire him (for whatever reason...probably organizational control) and I think they don't want to open the can of worms.

That's my opinion.

I am really getting concerned, at this point we should of kept Reid if we're going to interview a good 10 coaches to get an idea of who we want.

Nobody wants Gruden.  Already won a Super Bowl.  Will never do it again.  Not a good coach.

I really think this has more to do with potentially bringing him in at OC if we get Gus (or Lovie I guess).

its really a different situation though and I'm not defending the bears but they didn't decide to fire lovie until they missed the playoffs which didn't occur officially until the very last game of the season. They are in a loaded division and honestly i think firing lovie was dumb to begin with. His fate fell with the inability to keep cutler upright and the inability to beat the packers these last 3 years. I don't think their new coach will have a ton of success at that either. We on the other hand have been debating a new coach since the end of last year and knew for two full months that reid was not coming back (accoring to lurie). I think he really thought chip kelly was the guy but it didn't happen and now he really doesn't know which way is up.

Well he clearly out coached Reid head to head. Makes you wonder why Arizona would have even considered Reid.

I still believe Gruden just wants the offer and doesn't wanna go through the interview. How many interviews has Gruden really been on since being fired by Tampa? I'm sure the Eagles view him as an option but how far down the list does it go?

Agreed. He's not exactly somebody that can say I'll take a HC job or nothing at all.

Yup.  From a pure numbers game I really don't think he'll land a HC job unless he really hits an interview out of the park.  Next best option from his POV would be to follow a defensive guy like Gus or Lovie where he can get some control over the offense. Most of this board needs to take a big ol' Xanax and calm the F down.

Obviuosly there was no short list. I think the Eagles have longest list of any team looking for a HC.
