Just reported on Fox 29. I didn't hear the whole thing but he did say this:

Billick is NOT happening. Was just a courtesy interview to make him feel good.
Doesn't believe it will be Bradley. Said a "west coast source" told him Gus has great energy but little substance (paraphrasing).
Says Whisenhunt is a real possibility. Ack.
No more college candidates.

I will trust Monte Kiffin's word as well as bradley's players (past and present) over Eskin's and his "west coast source"

Agreed. Pete Carroll and Monte Kiffin have both vouched for Bradley basically saying they think he's head coaching material.

http://sports.yahoo....47251--nfl.html

Quote

"I've told people I've talked to in the last week or so, if you interview him, there's a good chance you'll hire him," Kiffin said of Bradley. "He'll walk in [to the interview] and take over the room. Philadelphia should strongly consider hiring him. I think he's special."

Quote

Kiffin said that while Bradley has never been a head coach before, he has the world-view to get the job done."He was born to be a head coach," he said. "I'll tell you that right now. I promise you. He will be a head coach in the NFL and a good one. He's great with players. They really respond to him. They work hard for him. He's a great people person. The fans will love him. The players will love him. Everybody in the building will love him. He's tough, but he knows when to pull off. He knows when to be tough and when not to be tough."

Carroll is capable of running the defense, he has already been since he got there.

I can't believe Howard just made this up.  All he needs though is a non-quotable source to make it up. Bam!

I don't think he's right about Billick and no way can I believe he's right about Wisenhunt unless it's as potential OC.

He's not a brain surgeon, he's a football coach. I want great energy rather than a fat blob on the sideline. Even if what the West Coast source says is true, if Bradley surrounds himself with good coordinators, he'll be fine. AR got by for years doing that.

It's gonna be Gus.  He was one of their top choices as they have been interested in him since the beginning and if he had a good interview then that seals the deal.

I really stop reading after the Brian Billick interview. So Howard and yourself think at a busy time like this the eagles are interviewing people to make them feel good?

Lol..

I could see that.
he's part of the NFL media now... making Him feel good could get some favorable Press from NFL.com or some other source that he writes for.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

WOW Really? Are you seriously trying to tell me that in the middle of this coach search which has become Luries biggest decision since he bought the team, he is wasting his time interviewing a coach just to make him "feel good"????

Whisenhunt got Arizona to their only Super Bowl in team history when he had a QB - why is it so hard for people to understand that

A) finding a QB is paramount to success and
B) finding a QB is the most difficult task in football.

Eskin is clueless.  Bradley isn't going to fly cross country for a 2nd interview if the Eagles don't like him.  Sheer stupidity.

You have to understand TATEr's and by and large Philly sports fans.  They are pretty dumb.  Seriously, like a bag of rocks is smarter.

Are they looking for someone with a track record of success?  Nah, guy had a cool Youtube video so he must be awesome.

Even when faced with people saying that Carroll calls the defense and their collapse yesterday they are still excited over someone because of a Youtube video.

Just check out my 'TATE's Bright Ideas' thread.

They went back to Seattle. Teams usually meet the day after a season ending loss.

Here's the key... Whisenhunt never found or developed a QB with Arizona. He had an already established, borderline HOF QB fall into his lap. That SB run was about as lucky/flukey as it gets.

Fitz played possessed in the last month of the 2008 season.  Teams couldn't stop him.  That made Whisenhunt look better than he really was.
