Would want this toxic MESS that Lurie single handedly has got us into:

1. BIG MISTAKE: giving Howie a free pass and worse an extension

2. Little or no talent in key areas on the defense

3. No offensive line or wide receivers worth mentioning

and the BIGGEST point

4. No NFL caliber QB (Foles is not it)

Time's yours. This is going to be a miserable few years is my feeling. Every coach they wanted has spurned the EAGLES and that is just a FACT that cannot be denied.

Only Lurie and Howie think that this is a great job and no one else with any football know how thinks so. Time will tell.

1. I keep seeing TATE cry about Howie. Tell me, what exactly do you even know about the guy? None of us have any clue what personnel decisions were his, and which were Andy's, because they both played a role in those decisions. Based on what Lurie said, this year's draft was the first where Howie ran things, and it's looking like it could end up being the best draft we've had in years.

2. There are holes on defense, but nothing that can't be fixed. The Dline is set, maybe add one more rotational pass rusher to the mix. WIL and MLB are set, we do need a strong side backer still. Secondary definitely needs work, but it's not like you need an all-pro at every position. Restructure Nnamdi, bring in a strong CB on the other side (maybe draft Milliner?), and bring in a starting safety.

3. Fans are overreacting on the offensive line. Every report points to Peters being well on his way to returning for next year, then you'll have Herremens and probably Kelce coming back as well. They need to bring in one immediate starter, and another young T to eventually replace Peters or take over for him if he doesn't fully recover. I'll ignore the WR comment because that just makes you look clueless.

4. Foles had just as good of a season statistically as Andrew Luck... yet Foles sucks, and Luck is the next Montana. OK. I'm not saying Foles is as good as Luck, but he played well in very limited time and did so with basically a second team offense for most of his starts.

The worse GM in the NFC east is Jerruh Jones, and he doesn't seem to have any issues attracting potential HC's when he needs one. I can guarantee you the Eagles will hire a good HC.... Plenty of them would love to coach for this team.

If this job was so attractive one of the college coaches would have jumped ship to the Eagles by now. Howie's presence may be a killer and what was Lurie's justification in handing the keys to a lawyer and NOT to a real FOOTBALL GM?

Again, just throwing out opinions like they're facts because YOU feel that way. Did they sign with any other team? Ever consider the fact that maybe they want to coach in college and not the pros? Kelly did it last year with TB too, if you'll recall.

1. I don't like Howie, but tell me what he actually did to deserve criticism besides bring in a defensive line coach before he brought in the defensive coordinator? Who hired Juan Castillo? Andy did! If Andy really wanted to keep McNabb, he should have fought for the guy, but to be honest, more then half of this fan base wanted McNabb gone, so they got what they wanted and now they are reaping the benefits (or no benefits). If Andy was taking his job more seriously, he would have ditched Marty Mornhinweg and gotten a defensive coordinator because I highly doubt that there were NO other defensive coordinators to fit the wide 9.

Also, Nnamdi Asomugha and Jason Babin were two of some of the most sought after free agents in the 2011 offseason. Literally everyone was saying he was going to take the Eagles to the Super Bowl and Babin had 18.5 sacks that season. Was it really Howie's fault that the defense suffered before figuring out that Jim Washburn was sabotaging the play calling? Thats like a freak accident. Again, I don't like Howie, but the fact that he deserves all of the blame for the drafts and things that Reid could have controlled in literal bull crap.

2. We have talent, we just need a coach that can keep these players honest and accountable. Talent with no authority is a recipe for disaster. I actually think the Eagles have talent at every position on defense, they just need to improve their awareness and overall intelligence. Also, they need to stop placing 7th round picks at key positions.

3. I'm sorry, but you don't know who Todd Herrimans is? Evan Mathis, probably one of the best offensive guards in the league. Oh and if Jason Peters comes back that can be great to. And no wide receivers worth mentioning? I'm not going to answer that question because its plainly obvious that you are trolling.

4. We don't need a high caliber, elite QB and to be honest, we won't get that guy in the draft because this rookie class is terrible when it comes to quarterbacks. The Eagles need to groom Foles in to a game manager and the Eagles need to use the running game to their advantage. In my eyes the only thing Foles needs to learn how to do is throw an accurate deep ball.

Well this is the worst mess in some time and if YOU were the owner you should be held responsible for this mess just like Jerry Jones. Like the Cowboys, the EAGLES desperately need a real GM and not someone who thinks he is a football GM like Howie or Jerry Jones. This team as of today, has disaster written all over it and you guys seem to think that hiring a Gus Bradley (if it happens) will magically make our problems go away.

The next 2-3 years are going to be horrible and we will continue to suck big time. Wait and watch.

why would they leave their just as well paying jobs that they have complete control over? Not to mention there are less games and it is much less of a grind to coach in the college ranks at big time universities like Penn State, Oregon and Notre Dame. and did I mention they already make a boatload of money?

Hey genius ANY organization in need of a new coach is gonna have issues.  That's why they fired the coach in the first place.  

It isn't often that a team coming off a championship with a top 10 defense and a 26 year old Tom Brady finds themselves in need of a new HC.
