Brandt has KC taking Joeckel, Werner going to Jacksonville and Oakland taking Geno Smith. Next is the Eagles and he has us taking Chance Warmack.

His overall mock draft is very different from others I have seen. He has Alec Ogletree going well ahead of Manti Teo and Star slipping all the way down to 10.

I like the idea of the Eagles taking Warmack but still think we could trade down and still get him. Someone will covet a QB and want to trade up.

A freaking G at 4? I don't care how good he is, that just doesn't happen often.

Trenton Eagle has the Eagles taking a dump with their draft pick like they almost always do.

if joeckel isn't at 4 warmack is the next best OL in the draft. I know he's a guard, but he might be one of the most talented guards coming out in recent memory. All I'm saying is I wouldn't be opposed to it.

yeah Warmack may be one of the best players in teh draft. I would rather get Star at #4 but I wouldnt be mad at Warmack at all. the guy is dominant. He could be like Shawn Andrews without the crazy

Gil Brandt is one of the most knowledgeable football persons around. If any of you know of him he is very, very good on evaluating talent. He, at one time, worked for the Dallas Cowboys during the years when they were a very good team plus he was responsible for the players on all of those Cowboy teams that seemed to be at or near the top for many years. He is held in high regard by many, many people in the NFL.

You're absolutely right. I would never take a guard, but:
Whatever Gil Brandt thinks about the draft > Whatever I think

I don't know how you can make an intelligent prediction when we don't even know who the head coach is going to be.

I agree but I also agree with the fact that Warmack is a beast of a guard and would immediately help the eagles entire offense

What a dumb arse. AR will surely take Warmack and move him to tackle leaving us to go after Joeckel. The fact that AR has the 1st pick in the draft really helps us bigtime!!

Wouldn't mind Warmack but NOT at 4! If they trade out of the top 10 and pick up at least an extra second, I'd be all for it!

If the front office thinks the guy could be a ten year all pro then it doesn't really matter where you pick him. You draft for the future - not for next season.

I do admit that a guard going at no 4 would be eye opening and I think we should trade down before entertaining it but if it was someone like Steve Hutchinson or Randal McDaniel over a Heath Schuler, Joey Harrington or Vernon Gholston then it makes sense.

Warmack is not lasting past 10.  I know people keep saying oh a guard can't go that high, but he's really special, I doubt he gets past the Cardinals at 7

If you are talking about BPA position shouldn't matter.

I'd be ok with Warmack. At this point we simply need to add a player who's the best or close to the best at his position in NFL.
