Dave,

I want to throw out that I am against all the Foles nay-sayers. He is still raw and unpolished. Was thrown into a fire with an porus offensive line and injured skill position players. What this kid could do is still VERY much unknown. To draft a high rookie at the position gives you NO more gaurantee than what you already have.

Jason Campbell - shame on you.  You haven't seen enough of this kid to call him out that he can't cut it in this league.  (NFL Network today)  Ask the Falcons if they knew enough about Brett Favre when they traded him to the Packers for the 19th pick in the 1992 draft (Tony Smith, RB).  Remember him?  Me either.

I can't wait to hear..."The Eagles have traded QB Michael Vick to the Kansas City Chiefs for their 3rd Round Pick in the 2013 Draft."  Money well saved.

Even Fatso the Clown would not be dumb enough to do that deal.

I'm really not sure that Vick will be on the roster when trades open.

Seriously though, Foles has to be the QB next season. There's no surefire QB in this draft, let's get the most stud OT available, move Herremans back to G, and let Mathis, Kelly, and Watkins battle for the other G spot, or draft one in a later round.
I'd draft:
1. OT
2. S
3. CB
4 -5: OL-LB

"huh, huh, Beavis, he said G spot"

Foles as a Starter seriously ??... 7 games 1 win ...6 Tds 5 int 5 Fumbles comp% 60 percent .He only played against 2 current playoff teams

He deserves too stay on and learn for 2-3 years under a starter..

Here we go again. So Lets keep Vick, put Foles on the bench.Vick will get hurt again as he does every year, and Nick will have to come in anyway.@

Training Camp Body.Look we will never know what we have until we let one of these QBs actually gets to be the starter throughout training camp, and play out the year,Who is Foles gonna learn from in the 2-3 years you plan on benching him?VICK,Edwards,A Free Agent?..Come on son let us know. We had Kolb,Kafka..No-one like them but they really never got a chance. When i mean a chance,i mean 1-3 years to prove themselves in our system. That was my problem with AR.He drafted these kids and never let them have a chance to play..ALL because of Vick, whom by the way didnt do anything here but get hurt and turn the ball over and over and over again. But you people blamed everyone but Vick..Those games that Foles played never was there a mention about all the injuries to the Line or anyone Else,it was just the rookie's mistakes and he stunk...But when Vick(10 years exp)played it was the O-lines fault or dropped passes..In the same amount of games, with Vick and Foles..Foles numbers were much better than Vicks. Now thats a rookie vs a 10 year VET....No he(foles) wasnt perfect and some will say he really stunk up the place...Well i seen a kid that didnt get sacked as much(as Vick),the ball was out fast most of the time,..Nope he wasnt accurate on the long passes..(that takes some time)(and coaching)..He made some rookie mistakes(again coaching and practice makes perfect)..and please my dear sir go back and check the stats for the GREAT QBs of today and see how their rookie season(16 games)were..You will be surprised that foles had better stats than most of them. But the team didnt give up on them and look where those guys are today.Who know what Kafka, would of been, even Kolb(here in philly). They just never go the chance and now you want do do the same to foles.Let him start the next 2 years(all 32 hopefully 38-40) and then we can judge him.

Foles got his shot this year and disapointed...But the none the less you may be right.

I still say we draft a Quarterback in the draft, make him compete and earn that starting job

How did he dissapoint exactly? By putting up andrew luck numbers without an offensive line and players literally brought in off the street? Aikmen, peyton manning, brees, eli, mcnabb, etc should i guess all have been career backups since they didn't get it done in their first six games lmao.

Wins and losses are hardly the complete measure of a QB's performance. Foles played three playoff teams, Skins x2 and Bengals. The other three games were against the 7-9 Panthers, the 7-9 Bucs who were competing for the playoffs and the 8-8 Cowboys who were competing for the playoffs. It's not like he came out against the Cardinals, Browns and Lions.

The team scored 3 more points per game with him in the game than they did with Vick. This is a marked improvement especially when you consider that Foles was playing with 2 or 3 other starters at times. Lesean Mccoy missed games, Desean Jackson missed games and even Brent Celek missed time with Foles. He played fairly well given these circumstances.

If Chip plans on running something similar to what he ran at Oregon, then Foles will be the odd man out. If that happens, then who would you like to run the offense?

Do you really think Kelly's college scheme will work in the NFL?  Um, really?  Foles performed like a seasoned veteran.  He had NO time to read the field and still outperformed who?  That's right - Mike Vick.  He did this with less tools than Vick had and faced tougher teams.  Now, if Vick is such an ELITE talent in this league - you have to give Foles his shot.

THERE IS NO ROOKIE THAT COULD  YOU HELP THIS TEAM MORE AT THIS POSITION THAN WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE.

An upgrade at OT would help us tremendously.  CB and S as well.  This kid has composure.  He has a strong arm, and most importantly - a solid frame that can take a hit.  Did he make mistakes?  Yes.  Does he deserve a shot at a solid off-season as the starting QB.  Yep.  This kid was a diamond in the rough and one hell of a find for this team.   Did I mention how quickly he learns?

Nick Foles certainly has potential, but I don't think we should hand him the starting job. I think we should trade for a QB to compete with Foles for the starting job.

Pointing to the wins/losses of this season in regards to judging Foles is completely fallacious. I'm not saying there aren't questions or that he's a lock but the entire team was an abysmal failure this season and Foles slow but steady progression was one of the bright spots. The guy was playing for a team that mailed it in, had no playoff aspirations, a lame duck coach, and had an offensive line comprised of not only second stringers but in some cases even third string. Couple that with a defense that couldn't stop a team from scoring to save their lives and THAT is now you get a QB with 7 games and 1 win. He at least earned the right to go into this season with some help. I'm not opposed to having him compete with a mid round draft pick or young free agent but there are no QBs worth taking and no FAs available that blow your hair back. Vick sucks. The only realistic option is to give Foles a shot and build a legitimate team around him for this season and see how he does.

I agree that Foles deserves a chance. However, I don't know where Chip is in the evaluation process. I don't know what he's looking for. I think Nick has a lot of ability, but he also has a lot of areas he must improve. So, hey, he's going to get a chance. What does that mean? Not sure, exactly. I hate to be so evasive, but we're at the point where we have heard what we're going to hear from Chip. Next step is to see what decisions he is going to make.
