can't blame him if he goes to Jax...gotta be way less pressure to win games and make the playoffs there than in philly

If he wants to more slowly grow into the head coaching role under less scrutiny...and play lots of golf and get a nice tan....he goes south

I think it's been the plan all along. We've known for quite some time AR was getting the boot...some new faces became available with other firings around the league...ie) lovie, whizzy, etc, but to leave Gruden completely in the dark reeks that something is "up"

Jaguar's owner is a self-made billionaire-industrialist. He tried to buy part of the Rams a couple of years back and the deal didn't work out--but ended up buying the Jaguars.
You can bet that Shahid Khan has a very different vibe than Jeffrey Lurie. If I were interviewing for the most important job in my career...I'd want to be sure that I felt very comfortable with my new boss. I think Gus is keeping an "open mind" to all possibilities. And, it won't be only the compensation that closes this deal.
Eagles need to bring back Lovie Smith for his 2nd interview...if he'll come. My guess, Don Pardo, is exactly the same as yours...Lurie and the Accountants over estimate what an attractive package they are...

Not a doubt in my mind that Roseman had Chip Kelly as the bullseye--and believed he'd deliver to Lurie an innovative, trend setting HC. Accountants have been in recovery mode-spin cycle since Chip went back to Oregon after the 9 hour meeting. THAT was a reality check. Gus will be another reality check.

AR is a respected HC and part of the NFL good old boys network.
If AR can crash & burn with a 4-12 season in Philly...then there have to be "structural problems"...not just roster and assistant problems.
A newbie HC cannot address structural problems above his authority.
