welp if he goes to the jags, on to Gruden.....the silent secret plan all along...

can't blame him if he goes to Jax...gotta be way less pressure to win games and make the playoffs there than in philly

I am wondering about Mr. Bradley going to Jacksonville. Is it to honor a committment, which is an admirable trait or is it maybe another reason. Like maybe his family might rather live in Florida, or maybe even the possibility of a better chance for a first time head coach. Think about it. The Jaguars have been bad for so long that If Gus Bradley gets Jacksonville 6 or 7 wins next year he will get a lot of praise from their fan base. If he gets 6 or 7 wins next year in Philadelphia all he will get is criticism even though everyone knows both programs need an overhaul.

we will see what kinda dude he is...if he's up for the challenge, and likes being thrown into the fire, he comes to philly.

If he wants to more slowly grow into the head coaching role under less scrutiny...and play lots of golf and get a nice tan....he goes south

I get interviewing multiple coaches to get the right guy but this is a lot of interviews.  I'm beginning to think its not finding the right guy, but coaches not happy with what they are hearing.  Could it be Roseman?  Could it be the front office?  Not sure but feels like something isn't right.

derf...it's a conspiracy...i think we're slow playing our hand right now...and big jon Gruden is the ace in the hole.  Howie and Lurie completely dashed this organization in one fell swoop, and let AR take most of the shattered pieces to KC.  Now all these interviews are posing as "due diligence" and other teams will look to hire who we've interviewed...then at the last minute....we'll shake down old Gruden for the job...making Howie and Lurie look the part of "heroes"

I think it's been the plan all along.  We've known for quite some time AR was getting the boot...some new faces became available with other firings around the league...ie) lovie, whizzy, etc, but to leave Gruden completely in the dark reeks that something is "up"

and I don't think he has been left in the dark....it's cloak and dagger with regards to any conversations that may or may not have taken place

>>Pardo: Complete agreement with you. Gus Bradley is in the drivers seat. The Eagles management had him for a lengthy and informative meeting. Gus probably got the idea that Lurie and the Bean Counters want him as the next HC. However, Gus Bradley just might like JACKSONVILLE BETTER.

Jaguar's owner is a self-made billionaire-industrialist. He tried to buy part of the Rams a couple of years back and the deal didn't work out--but ended up buying the Jaguars.

You can bet that Shahid Khan has a very different vibe than Jeffrey Lurie. If I were interviewing for the most important job in my career...I'd want to be sure that I felt very comfortable with my new boss. I think Gus is keeping an "open mind" to all possibilities. And, it won't be only the compensation that closes this deal.

Eagles need to bring back Lovie Smith for his 2nd interview...if he'll come. My guess, Don Pardo, is exactly the same as yours...Lurie and the Accountants over estimate what an attractive package they are...

>>Snowy: no one wants to make a career move as important as a HC of an NFL franchise unless he is 100% certain it is the right opportunity. Lurie is really back at "Square-1" by his own hand. "Square-1" being about when he hired Ray Rhodes to come to Philly. Back then Lurie and Banner had very limited credibility and experience..and players and coaches came to the Eagles BECAUSE of Ray Rhodes. They were avoiding the Eagles because of the Owner and Management.

Not a doubt in my mind that Roseman had Chip Kelly as the bullseye--and believed he'd deliver to Lurie an innovative, trend setting HC. Accountants have been in recovery mode-spin cycle since Chip went back to Oregon after the 9 hour meeting. THAT was a reality check. Gus will be another reality check.

Only 3 openings left. Arizona, Jacksonville and Philly. The Jaguars new general manager David Caldwell I guess is old friends with San Francisco OC Greg Roman. Sounds like that might be their target for HC. I hope that is the case, because we need GENERAL BRADLEY!!! And of the 3 openings left our team is the team that at its current state would be the closet to making a major playoff push.

Lurie go get GENERAL BRADLEY PLEASE

>>Jhop: REALITY CHECK TIME

AR is a respected HC and part of the NFL good old boys network.

If AR can crash & burn with a 4-12 season in Philly...then there have to be "structural problems"...not just roster and assistant problems.

A newbie HC cannot address structural problems above his authority.

>>Shady: Gus Bradley is in the driver's seat. He'd be a fool to accept an offer from any team if he didn't feel completely positive about the Organization and the significant members of it. It's not just up to Lurie to throw cash on the table...Gus must also believe that the Eagles are the best opportunity for him...

YES, wood he must believe the Eagles are the best opportunity for him. Keep in mind you play to win the game! All I am saying is he has the best chance of winning more games with the Eagles. If Bradley goes to Jacksonville or Arizona at that and those teams do not win do you think he will be on the hot seat?
