I guess it's not a shocker that the plainest looking team in the NFL would eventually update their look since most teams seem to be doing it or have done it. however they said they will not change their helmets. http://espncleveland...9&post_id=10881

new owner = new coach, new GM, new naming rights for the stadium, new uniforms, etc.

probably a good idea if your franchise has been a complete failure since the reboot in 1999

A new era seems to be in Cleveland. But change is good though!

They need a complete rebranding. The current has history, but it is that of losing and heartbreak. I guess that is perfect for the city of Cleveland though.

They've made changes in the past. Their helmet won't change though.

Not a bad idea. The sleeve stripes in particular haven't looked right ever since typical uniforms sleeves got shorter. They look almost like a patch that's just stuck-on.

Some teams (such as the 49ers) have done the 'nod to the past, look to the future' type of change. I would guess the Browns would do the same thing. Minus the tacky sleeves, their uniform is plain but somewhat iconic. I doubt they'd abandon that simple look entirely.

I'm just advertizing my favorite AFC team.

Kind of like baseball - NL Phillies, AL Athletics.

In football it's Niners and Bengals.

I periodically change the profile photo. Sometimes I'll insert the Eagles' white helmet b/c I think they were pretty cool.

Actually, I was a Bungals' fan before I became a Niners' fan. I used to like the Bungals back when Isaac Curtis and Bob Trumpy played, and they wore the we-look-exactly-like-the Cleveland-Browns-but-we're-not uniforms.

They are classic just like, Penn State and Alabama IMO

The Packers, Bears, Steelers, Cowboys, Colts, Chiefs, Raiders, Redskins have barely changed anything in the lat 30 years. They won't make too many changes if at all in the next 30. Good to see some franchises sticking to tradition.

I don't do favorites like that. When I was a kid (late 70's early 80's) I claimed the Chargers as my "AFC favorite", but only because I liked their helmets. I quickly disowned them in favor of my true favorite.

How could u improve the Cleveland Brown uniform?  It is a blank orange color.

That's their helmet, their uniform is different.

Keep the helmet, make the uni's more modern?  Maybe add that elf looking guy to the shoulder or maybe a new logo w/ reference to the dawg pound?  I dunno they need to be careful not to screw this up...too much history there.

Especially with all they went through to keep their history when the original Browns left for Baltimore.

I've never been a big fan of their uniforms, but they are classic NFL and ought to be left alone. I hate when new owners (or old) change away from their teams long standing history.

When they wear their white on white uni's, it just looks like garbage.

Also, they should start their 'uni change' by just wearing their brown jersey at every home game.

A lot of college uniforms are even more overboard. Just ask Chip Kelly. The Ducks change their unform each year and had many different ones each season. btw...always wondered but how is Donald Duck their mascot?

I actually like the Jags uniforms of all black but I do like the Browns classic look which is why I hope they don't change them. I hated how they had the orange jersey. Looks too much like Illinois. I miss the old Broncos uniforms Elway wore.

I think their helmet is ugly.  Orange and plain.  Put a brown C on it, or a CB logo of some sort.  When a franchise has stunk for a looooooooooong time, it might be ok to change up their 'classic' look, ya know?  Change doesn't kill an organization.

i think putting a CB on it would be dumb. There is another orange clad team in Ohio that is CB as well. Why not adopt the dog as a logo or the B inside the football withstripes.

personally I would love it if they had this as their logo.

I like the Browns uniform, always have.  I hope they don't change much!!
