It would be fun but I don't want any distractions.... the whole T.O. thing in the past to the "dream team".

In a year with big expectations, I'd agree, but with this year being a transition season, where there are likely going to be rough spots ahead, I wouldn't worry about the distractions, and think it'd be cool to see our own team profiled.

Oh' I'm sure there's some "entertaining" elements to it and am not knocking (no pun intended) anyone who enjoys it, that type of thing is just not my cup of tea and definitiely wouldn't want the Birds to do it, just keep their minds on the task at hand instead of wasting time mugging for the camera.

I was at that game actually.  The wife and I we're home visiting family and my brother in law had picked up a couple ticks.  We hit a few center city watering holes before heading down to the Vet and were definitiely feeling no pain.

We settled into our seats and then were like WTF when they made the announcement.  Got back on the subway to head uptown and the minute we hit the street it started raining cats and dogs.  Strange evening to say the least.

I was there as well. When it was looking like it was going to be cancelled, before they made it official, I started heading out thinking there'd be riots lol.

Yeah, in some ways, this might be the perfect year for it if it's ever going to happen.

If they did a behind-the-scenes of the QB situation (Vick, Foles, etc) like they did it in Miami, that would be awesome. I actually like Miami's hard knocks. Had some great storylines

From what I recall the game was supposed to start at like 7:30 but it was pushing 8 and we're just sitting there watching Reid, Billick and the refs walking around pointing at different spots on the field, fans were yelling and booing and some even throwing ish then they made the announcement that the game was cancelled and it did get pretty ugly.

When we were walking out we actually saw a couple guys getting arrested in front of the will call for smashing the window and I remember thinking "wtf Philly fans it's only a damn preseason game". :nonono:

2001 preseason. Billick was unhappy with the field conditions and the chance of injuries so he wouldn't let his team take the field.

I think that the Redskins would be doing it as Snyder does love the attention but Shanahan and RGIII, uh maybe not so much!

If you can find it, watch the Ravens edition of Hard Knocks, it happens in that edition of the show. I'm sure it can be found somewhere on the internet.

Maybe they try to go back to Baltimore, since the first one was after they won their first Super Bowl.

It's entertaining I guess, I think 24/7 is a lot better though. I love how it's during the season

I could see Atlanta or Detroit being interested in doing it.

Redskins as Snyder indeed loves the attention. But HBO has been really going after the Falcons and every single time, that teams says thanks BUT no thanks!

And every year I'm disappointed and relieved at the same time. With Brian Banks getting his.shot, Tony G giving it one more shot, Steven Jackson finally playing for a contender and the growth of Julio Jones, this would be a great season for them to say yes... But it's also a year you don't want ANY distractions.

That's the problem I have with it. No matter how much players say it wont be a problem and they wont change anything the way they handle a new TC. You know some players will "act-up" for the cameras. Not so much as starting trouble, I just mean they wanna be on TV every 10 secs so they will do whatever they can just to be put into the show IMO.

I think Hard Knocks would be perfect for the Eagles... if we can't handle the pseudo pressure of a summer tv show, we can't handle a regular season's twists and turns. I personally would love to see it.

That being said, if Chip doesn't want to, then I have no problem with that. And his rationale about undermining the player-coaching staff relationship is perfectly acceptable as a reason.

I see your point and to a certain extent your right, but I also feel that we have a new coaching staff, a lot new players, there is way too much stuff that we need to do in TC that we don't need the added distraction of camera's in their face all day, every day for 2 weeks IMO. If Andy was still here as coach and we didn't have a new system to learn it would be different. Theres way to much we have to do in a short period of time. Atleast if andy was still here the system would still be the same, and only FA's and Rookies would need to learn all of it, the vets would already know it and their main thing would just to be getting into "game=shape"

I'd love to see an eagles hard knocks, but Chip has stated before he would never do it. As seen in this video

Put a camera in front of Jackson and he will find a way to make a fool of himself.

We shouldn't do hard knocks. We're aiming at a Superbowl!

I agree that the Eagles would be in high demand.  High energy college HC, lots of new assistant coaches, young players, new schemes, big competitions for starting jobs, potentially high profile top draft pick.  It's got all the makings of what I imagine Hard Knocks wants.

It would probably be a bit of distraction, but as mentioned, they likely aren't competing for a SB this season or anything. I'd actually watch for once too.  Could never be bothered in the past.

When I initially posted this thread, I figured that Chip would be very attractive to HBO. After learning that Training Camp will be as restricted as it is though, I don't see Kelly wanting to invite cameras in. If it was a 1 week deal like the "Six Days to Sunday" in Andy's second year, then that might be different. For 6 weeks though? No, I don't see Kelly allowing that.

why not? I think its funny watching a team talk about superbowlzz knowing damn well they dont have a shot at winning a playoff game let alone the superbowl, might aswell throw aj green on the madden cover while their at it.
