quarterback Dennis Dixon, another former Duck.

"Vick could be the right guy. That's one of the guys. Another guy is on our team right now: No. 10 (Ravens practice squad quarterback Dennis Dixon, another former Duck). I'd be going after those guys."

Would be a good idea to bring him in as our #3, but don't see him as an NFL starter.

On board with Dixon, I remember being pissed the Steelers locked him up in the 5th in 2008.

Anyone who thinks Dixon should be brought in please find a new team. Maybe the Redskins because fans welcomed Spurrier adding all those ex Gators to his roster.

Dennis Dixon is currently on the Ravens PRACTICE SQUAD this year and was cut once from it. He couldn't even make their roster.

Pittsburgh got rid of him because he couldn't even beat Charlie Batch or Byron Leftwich.

On top of that...he tore his ACL in 2007 prior to being drafted and suffered a season ending meniscus injury in 2010 after his only career start.

I'd be ok w/ releasing Vick, bringing in Dixon and drafting a QB somewhere between rounds 2-4.  Edwards isn't ever going to be anything in NFL anyway.

I wouldn't be ok with Dennis Dixon.  Because Dennis Dixon is not a very good football player.

I don't understand why anyone would be okay with bringing in Dixon for any role.   I'd rather go into the season with just Foles and this 2nd - 4th round QB you're speaking of.  Dixon is just a waste of a roster spot.

People are so stupid.  Are we just going to go after athletic quarterbacks who cant throw worth ****?  The reason Carolina's, Washington's, San Fran's, and Seattle's offense works is because THOSE GUYS CAN THROW.  This is utterly moronic beyond belief.

As somebody else already said, that's why they're USA Today. Leave the sports to those that actually cover sports. Didn't one of their guys write something stupid about the Eagles a few days ago too?

Pure speculation... but you don't know what Chip Kelly is thinking...

Maybe he likes Dennis Dixon

Maybe he wants to get Darron Thomas

Maybe he wants to draft a kid instead

Maybe he will adjust his offense for Foles

Maybe he will let Vick run it and grab a guy as backup

Kelly's version of the spread (at least the one at Oregon) didn't really require the QB to be able to throw. Obviously.. they had to do it, but they didn't need to make reads and progressions. They had to fire a ball to a spot that typically isn't further than 10 yards down field.

Now, I have no idea if that's how his NFL offense will look...

IMHO, I don't think you need to be a football insider to see that the QB position is NOT this team's most pressing issue right now. I'd like to think Chip can see this too. To dwell on the QB position at this juncture, IMHO, would mean that Chip isn't really, seriously and soberly looking at the state of the team and is instead just looking to stroke his ego and play mad scientist with his offensive fetish. He's a HC now...not an offensive trickster. Again, I think he knows this. I would like to think Chip will keep things in perspective.

The offense is fine. It needs tweaking, new schemes, health at OL and an attitude adjustment. The defense is a friggin' mess. It needs a lot more than that. THAT should be Chip's priority. This is the NFL...not the pac 12 or 10 or wherever.

You really need to STFU, Dennis Dixon is a great QB in every aspect, passing, throwing and smarts, he's much better than both Vick and Foles and it's not even close.
