This is the best case scenario. Spurrier 2.0 is the worst. I hope the get the former. His priorities in the draft will tell us a lot about where he's going. We need impact players with our first few picks. The first should be a stud OL guy for his schemes or a potential starter/star on defense...be it LB or DB.

Actually Foles put up great numbers against Oregon. ARZ was simply outscored in shootouts by Kelly's offense.

Let's just pretend that's true. It gives him the "best shot" up until when? The third game of the season when he's knocked out of the game? Then what?
Wherever Vick goes next, I'd be very surprised to see him last a whole season healthy.

Unfortunately he never overcommitted to the run when people thought he was going to pass.
...uhh...like drafting Kafka?

Kelly wants nothing to do with Nick and all you fan boys trying to talk yourself into it are in for a rude awakening. He will either stick with Vick, trade for a QB like Alex Smith, or draft Geno Smith.
Kolb fans, who are now Nicks fans, haven't learned to not over-hying a talent deficient QB.

Now of course if Foles lights it up during his 1 year and Chip is comfortable tying his future to him then we'll see. But you have to remember he is inheriting guys that he may not necessarily have drafted to work in his system. So to just assume he's going to ride it out with Foles and adapt his offense to work with Foles for 2+ years is foolish. Chip Kelly was brought here to make this team/offense competitive. Unless he see mega upside by having Foles as "the guy" then he's going to be looking to ride or die with guys HE picked. And after this year he's going to have a better feel for what he wants to do on an NFL level. Think about he essential has a 2 year window to get this team back into the playoffs and competing again. If he spends 1+ years "developing" Foles or his system to make it work with Foles without good results (playoffs). His a*** is gone.
Even Howie has said while Foles was "good" last year he did nothing to cement himself as "the guy" or franchise.

And by the way, I support Foles over Vick not because of Kevin Kolb or anything, I supported Foles because he showed more then Vick did last season. Vick is old, injured, and stupid with the football. Why was it that last season in 6 games did Foles record a total of 3 fumbles, 2 of them lost when Vick fumbled the ball 2 times against the Browns, one lost, twice against the Ravens, both lost, twice against the Cardinals, both lost, two times against the Steelers, both lost, once against the Lions wasn't his fault, and once against the Saints? It was because he held on to the ball better, stepped up in the pocket and delivered a more accurate pass without running for his life... WITH A WEAKER OFFENSIVE LINE!
Oh yeah and I never supported Kolb, I always wanted McNabb being the quarterback, that is where your argument is flawed.

that's not at all what howie said. He simply said foles performed very well but we have to be careful because its such a small sample size. In other words they want to see foles play for a full season before giving him the keys to the kingdom. They've learned from their mistake of giving vick the keys after 6 good games.
