Gruden flirted with the idea of being Kelly's OC at Oregon just to learn the offense.  Why not give him a chance to do so in Philly?  And he won't even have to dodge the rats in the bowels of the Vet at his old office.

He turned down overtures to be an NFL head coach and he's going to leave his cushy job in the booth to be an offensive coordinator? Right. Think logically just for a second.

He doesn't want to return to the NFL this year, according to Jeff Lurie.

Considering that he doesn't know a damn thing that would have been a good idea, but no, we don't have time for anyone to be learning on the job, I've had enough of that with AR.

If Chip wanted Gruden as his OC it would probably be Gruden's best shot at getting back in the NFL as a head coach, after he did a good job as Phillys OC.

Obviously Gruden didn't stir up much interest during this recent coaching carousel.
