Unless AR was just being professional and doing his friend Lurie a favor by trying to figure out what we had in Foles (and other rooks). Knowing his job was over, everything he did was basically a televised resume to showcase his coaching talents. What does it say to a potential employer that you continued to work and drive hard KNOWING FULL WELL that were at the end of your tenure?

Or this is just another crazy PPW theory.

I don't even believe Bowles was an AR hire. That reeked of Howie and Lurie putting in place a guy who was known to take over behind his HC's back.

I don't even ? AR on quitting. He is not a quitter. He will give his all to the end. Class act and he loves the game too much

I supported AR putting Foles in there.  Was the only thing he did last season I firmly supported.  It had to be done.

Think about it. If I was AR there were guys I would have benched that had big contracts with the future of the team. Those super underachievers still remained in the starting lineup. Was that in AR's best interest or was it in the Eags best interest? AR didn't have any say anymore. Some of these guys were going to remain here for a couple of years. That is about the only reason I could think that they remained starters.

I was making a joke about Monte backing out of the job because Chip was hired here...no truth to it

babin got the axe. Sure he was not performing up to snuff. He was still the leader in sacks on the team though. The wide nine was history in Philly. New coaches were coming. That's why the move was a no brainer

Think about it why would Howie and Lurie use Vick as a selling point to Chip just to go behind his back and release him that a great way to start ur relationship with a new HC. MV will be decided by Kelly if Kelly thinks he is his QB then Vick will remain on the roster if Kelly goes in a different direction(which I am hoping for) then Vick will be released.

yea to me that doesn't make much sense either. MV has a say in things as well. Noone and i mean noone could last half a season paying MV 16 million this year. You want to talk about the fast track to being run out of town. I would say that Howie and Lurie aren't dumb. Of course they are going to use every chip on the table to land whatever top coach they have in mind. i don't really believe they used MV as a selling point to anyone. I think they kept all bargaining chips to let any prospective coach reach his own conclusions. OK if I didn't use Chip subtley enough let me know lol

I think they actually hired the biggest supporter of Foles they could find. Time will tell we'll see.

it's nice to have a clean slate. nobody can be overly optimistic or pessimistic, since nobody has a clue of how things will pan out.

it's hard to wait till the beginning of the season though. the blight is here. rahh.

This is going to be a fast play offense that is Vic at his best  1st down, 2nd down, 3rd down, BUNT. I know that was what I saw all year with him as QB
