I remember that throw. There was maybe 35 people at the pub where I watch games that night and people went absolutely ape**** high-fiving each other like we'd just won the Super Bowl. It was crazy. So sad how it turned out, but hey, moments like that are why we watch the games and follow the team so compulsively. I can't wait until we get to a point where the anticipation for watching games is so acute like it was then.

How does a I'm excited about Chip Kelly thread turn into a reminiscing of the Great Moments in the Andy Reid era thread?

Well, perhaps I exaggerated. Certainly isolated plays excited me. On the other hand I wasn't overly pumped about the NFC Championship win because I was convinced Donny would again gag in the big game and Reid would again be out-coached. Enjoyed the ride but always had a fatalistic view of it.

Nothing wrong with remembering great moments, is there?

For the NFCCG though, when Chad caught that TD in the back of the endzone, and listening to the stadium roar and then sing the fight song... regardless of the outcome of the future game, THAT was exciting. For me anyway. Almost as exciting as watching Wilbert make that TD against Dallass.

The point is, the hiring of Chip Kelly gives us something to be excited about again... so bringing up moments from the past that excited the fan base is part of the healing process of getting past the last 5 years of misery

One man's misery is another man's indifference.
