Okay guys,
There has been a lot of speculation and back and forth. It hasn't been clear if Ray Ray planned on trying to go pro after sitting the year out.

"Among the notable prospects in attendance for the second annual college all-star game are Miami safety Ray Ray Armstrong and Southern Utah quarterback Brad Sorensen."
---------
The red flags on Armstrong are because of NCAA violations involving boosters. He has missed a year of football because of it. Obviously, the red flags are a concern... but out of all the red flags, booster violations are always the stupidest to me.
Armstrong was originally believed to be the best safety in this class. He is a physical monster.
He is projected to be a 5th-7th round pick.
Low risk, high reward at a position that we really need... even if he is only a backup to start out.

If we can get him in the 5th to 7th rounds I would love to take a flyer on this guy. He could end up being one of the bigger steals of the draft. At 6'4" 215 he's a beast. Low risk high reward

Yeah i guess he is worth a late round pick. 6 ft 4 215 should be able to get you drafted in the NFL, regardless of your talent.

I wouldn't mind it at all if he has taken care of his off field problems

Typically, I feel the same way. However, in this case... I don't feel the off field problems are really a big deal.
It was all booster related crap. Pay for play.
Sure, it shows immaturity and stupid decision making. But I expect immaturity and stupid decision making from a kid in college.
My biggest concern is actually that he was out of football for a year. Still worth a late rounder though.

I've wanted this kid since the end of the 2012 draft. Projected rounds 5-7, he's worth a pick.

Love the strategy of taking high talent guys with potential off-the-field issues in the late rounds (see Bryce Brown). Definitely on my radar come draft day.
