I love this Super Bowl matchup. It's been awhile since two defenses like this have gone head to head in a super bowl.

I think the 49ers win, and I'll pull for them, but I'd be ok if the Ravens won too. I was happy once the Falcons were eliminated.

If history has taught us anything under the Mike Smith era, the team that eliminates the Falcons will win the Super Bowl.

I didn't want either in the SB but if I had to vote it would be 49ers. After we beat Ravens in week 2 I think I remember a lot of complaining from the Raven players. Plus I can't stand Ravens. I don't want Lewis to get a ring before he leaves

I tend to root for Baltimore when were not playing them or in the running.  Hope Ray goes out with a ring, Reed and of course John Harbaugh.

This one has all the earmarks of what should be a great match up and hopefuly it will play out that way.

The 2 key W/L predictors in this game for me are:

1. Turnovers - Interestingly both teams committed the exact same # of TOs (16) and had the exact same # of take aways (25), both finished +9 in TO differential during the regular season and both have roughly the same a 2:1 TA:TO ratio in the post season (BaLt 2.3:1, SF 2.0:1).

2. Ability to control the clock:  Both teams can run the ball well, but SF has a clear cut advantage in run defense (4th overall, 94 ypg, 3.7 avg, 7 RTD vs. Balt 20th, 123 ypg, 4.0, 15 in the regular season) and despite the return of Lewis they've still given up 155, 152 and 108 (4.3 avg) in their 3 playoff games.

So with TOs being basically a wash I'll give the nod to SF's superior abilty to stop the run as the difference in the game.
