yeah Asante's a real loser with his 2 Super Bowl rings, 3 AFC Championships,  an NFC Title Game appearance in Philly and Atlanta

Anyone who would mock and taunt a former teammate for failing at a particular task deserves a needle to the neck.

F*** that POS.

First of all, Asante taunted Akers before the FG attempt.  Then Akers missed.
He is a classless loud mouth jerk whose career is winding down.  He used to be a pretty good CB and has had a successful NFL career (4 probowls and 2 rings).  "Loser" is just a bad description.

Before or after makes no difference.

Loser is the perfect descriptive word for him.

What I need is a talented, well coached, physical football team that can win a SB. Is that too much to ask ?

Apparently...

It amazes me how willing some Eagles fans are to give Lurie a pass for this mess they find themselves in.

If a CEO of a Fortune 500 company ran it into the ground he'd be eviscerated.   Not Lurie, though.

Rome I agree but I would take Lurie over Jerry Jones any day. Imagine being stuck with him as an owner. I feel blessed every day to be an Eagle fan.

It must be murder having an owner whose teams won three Super Bowls in six years.

MURDER!

That was when Jerry had Jimmy and Barry won his off of Jimmys team. So tell me what have they done since? What have we done since Lurie bought the team? Alot more then Dallass. Now Ill admit anyday that having rings are the most important stat and we have not gotten there. Hopefully someday we wont have to have this discussion and I can say we have rings. Hopefully sooner then later.

I've been a fan of this team for at least as long as Dave has (seeing as we're both the same age) and I'm here to tell you that if Reid was retained I was DONE.

I was selling my SBL's to the highest bidder, walking away from this team for good, and never looking back.  That's how infuriated I was with the direction this franchise has taken over the last decade.

Look, I'm not all that thrilled that Lurie is still in charge either, but in the last 12 months he's ridded the team of Banner (who is the embodiment of everything I hated about this team) and Reid who outlived his usefulness as a Leader at least 5 years ago if not longer.   He still has Roseman running things, though, and to me that's the biggest question I have.  I'll say this about Roseman, though... he got his man.  Against all odds he pursued Kelly like a bloodhound and was persistent enough to land him.  I don't necessarily agree with his decision to hire Kelly (as I preferred Bradley) but the fact that he was so dogged in his pursuit and was ultimately successful says a lot about him.

I'm giving them all a pass now.  Lurie, Roseman, Kelly... everyone concerned.  Time's running out on my patience, though.  Think of it like the Doomsday Clock... it was at 11:59 and the last month's actions has pushed the clock back to 11:57 or so.  Time's ticking, fellas... time to quit effing around and get us a Lombardi Trophy.
what a punk **** of a fan! We won't miss you

Like you said, it's meaningless without the hardware.

When Cowboys fans lament the end of another season, they go comfort themselves with the 3 Lombardis they won in the 90s. Nothing we may have done during the seasons since Lurie bought the team is a substitute for that.

My point is that Lurie has owned this team less time then Jones but when Lurie bought this team he has done more in that timespan. Who knows maybe we will get ours soon.

Nah, I'd never take Jerry over Lurie. Even with the rings decades ago. Just the thought makes me feel nauseated.

David Akers is a top tier human being but he's also a master in various forms of martial arts. If he wanted to he'd end Asante's life.

What has he done?      Built a stadium?      Put up windmills?      Let a coach stay for a f****ng decade and a half until he ran the franchise (at least the football part of it) into the ground and left it in worse shape than when he arrived???

What exactly has he done that we can look back on in 20 years with pride, like Cowboys, Steelers, Niners, Giants, Ravens, and even Bucs and Saints fans can?       You really going to hang your hat on some f****ng windmills?

He has so far failed in the one thing that really counts from a fan's standpoint, and unless that changes, his tenure here will be just that - a failure.        You can't say the same about Jones.

Asante had a very fine season and he deserves credit for that. I don't care much for the antics, however.

When Reid took over he was handed a soft CB and a tough one: Taylor & Vincent, then he drafted another pair in Sheppard and Brown then signed another soft CB in Asante, then brought in two more soft CB's in Namdi and DRC.

I can stomach a soft corner.  The soft safeties make me sick.

You really think we had a chance to do anything that year? With Mike Pick doing his thing & Marty Reid being his usual looney self? I guess it's just easier to blame the kicker.
