Joeckel goes #1 overall.
No way St. Louis trades their 1st rounders for #4 (the value is fair, but there is no player worth trading into the top 5 for)
Howie has said he will take the BPA and I believe him.
We are switching to a 3-4
Here we go
1. Jarvis Jones OLB Georgia
2. Matt Elam S Florida
3. Da'Rick Rodgers WR Tennessee Tech
4. Micah Hyde CB Iowa
5. Braxton Cave OC Notre Dame
6. Zac Dysert QB Miami (OH)
7. Mike Mauti ILB Penn State
I don't like not taking an OL until the 5th, however this team has many holes and I think Howie goes BPA. Star Lotuleilei is a possibility for a 3-4 NT at #4, and if Jones is gone then Star is the pick, but the Eagles will have to pick up a true 3-4 OLB in the draft or via FA. I think Graham is tailor made to be a 3-4 OLB and Cole could do it as well, but I'd feel more comfortable getting someone in here that is more accustomed to playing that position.
I also really like the Dysert pick late. I think thats good value for him in the 6th. Some mocks have teams reaching as high as the 3rd for him but I don't know if that is accurate. He reminds me of Kevin Kolb without the "happy feet" meaning he has more poise and pocket awareness than Kolb seemingly. I like his accuracy and his quick release but have not seen a super strong arm on him. I'm not concerned with his arm strength, but I wasn't blown away by it either.
I went with Da'Rick Rodgers over Cobi Hamilton or Kenny Stills in the 3rd round. Hamilton may be gone by the 3rd and Rodgers is faster. Combine 40 times will come into play and someone will run well enough to thrust themselves into the 1st round or early 2nd. I could see Kelly wanting to address this position sooner than the 3rd as well especially if Keenan Allen falls to the 2nd round. I like Da'Rick Rodgers though because of his size and speed but I'd like to see him run more routes because he is great on drags and fly patterns but I'd like to see if his outs are crisp enough to be elite in the NFL.
Anyway, feel free to tear it apart. Thanks.

I wouldn't have a problem with this mock. Jones is the big question mark

If this is the case we have to add a solid RT in free agency.

Dysert is a 1st or 2nd day QB.

I dont think Jarvis Jones is worth the risk for Chip Kelly.... can you imagine if he had a career ending injury this season or just not being able to continue (which is more likely with his injury, plus hits in the NFL are waay harder then in college). Not only would he become a waste of a 4th overall but us eagles fans would tear Kelly apart for making such a stupid pick lol

Dysert in the first round? It's possible, but I don't see it.

I've been watching the senior bowl practices and got really impressed with Lane Johnson the LT from Oklahoma. He projects as a 3rd round pick but I expect him to climb after the combine. He is very athletic and looks good in game situations as well. One thing I like about him is his great reach at 35". He has great feet and looks very tough.
I'd like to see the Eagles pull a deal for another 2nd rounder and draft this guy. He could be a great value in the 2nd round and probably start right away at RT. This is obviously just my opinion.
I'd venture to say that if Xavier Rhodes, Matt Elam, and Kenny Vaccaro are all gone by pick 35 I'd seriously consider this guy at 35.

Actually, I'd trade back from 35 and target him later.

Do you all really think Herremans is that bad at RT? Give this offensive line a QB who isn't a moron and one that can get rid of the ball on time and just watch it improve.
I blame Vick for over 50% of the hits he took last year. The man is a moron. He doesn't understand how to be a QB. I can't wait til he's no longer an Eagle. The darkest days of the Eagles will be over.

Its not that Herremans is bad. Its that Johnson is good and allows Herremans to move to RG because Danny Watkins is that bad.
