This is going to be more realistic than yours, it's what I see happening.

Cuts: your basic bell and Vick. Just restructure Nnamdi
Resigns: no one really needed except like dorenbos or some backup on a min contract

Offseason signings:
Rt: Brandon Albert (or possibly Sebastian vollmer or Phil loadholt)
Reasoning: I don't see Andy passing on Joeckel or at least howie doesn't want to risk it. With rt the only major hole on offense, I see him wanting to get his pieces in place asap. My main guy is albert. Signing him away from Andy forces his hand or at the very worst it could drive up the price for Andy to pay if he really wants Albert and geno. Loadholt and vollmer are other options. Clady long and smith are going to get paid big and are out of our price range.

S Louis delmas (or possibly others)
I think they're going to have to sign one Db in fa to improve that secondary. Delmas is a guy I think fits best. He's injury prone which will likely drive down the price. I don't see a reason why Allen and Coleman can't be our backup safeties and I'd be okay with having one of them start a game or two if needed.

Trade: one of our 7ths for Dennis Dixon. A why not scenario for both teams. Ravens don't need him and at worst we only lost a 7th.

Draft:

1st-star
Ive seen enough mocks that have him falling so im making this pick. Could easily be a pass rusher too tho. I don't know if we're going 43 or 34 yet but star can excel in both particularly 34 where he could play nt or de, depending on who else we have. That diversity is really big. Plus no bust potential.

2nd-best Db available (Rhodes Elam vaccarro)
3rd-best Db available ( trufant bww Alford Jefferson Rambo)

This gets you two starting dbs to go along with Nnamdi and delmas. At worst we have to start Boykin or Allen/Coleman if they bust.

4th - best d available
Just pick the best defensive player available anywhere. We need the depth. Maybe it's a nt if we go pass rusher with the first rounder instead of star.

5th- ilb mike mauti
I'm a psu guy and mauti can play any ilb in 34 or any lb in 43. His main concerns are his knee injuries but in the fifth I think you take a chance on a player that reminds me of Sean lee and bowman and Dan Connor.

6th- best c available
Watkins and Kelly would be on the bench. We need a backup center as well.

7th - best wr available
Competition for that 5th spot behind djax maclin avant cooper

Depth chart kinda speaks for itself. Dixon replaces Vick as backup qb. New rt with Kelly Watkins and center as main backups. Front 7 you have a lot of options but depends on scheme plus whoever the fourth rounder is. Draft pick takes drcs place and delmas and draft pick take Allen and Coleman's place.

This gives your defense a lot of building blocks for the future while giving foles the chance. If not, 2014 will be pretty rich with qbs that would fit our system (Boyd plus possibly bridgewater, manziel, or marriotta if they declare)

I'd prefer the Eagles look 2nd-3rd round for RT.  DJ Fluker is my top choice.  I don't want to waste $$ in FA on a RT especially if we need to sign players that fit the 3/4 and 4/3.

I like Delmas a lot.  He just needs to stay healthy.  I wouldn't mind gambling on him but I would rather draft a safety like Elam from Florida and plug him in for the next 10 years.

I like the Star pick.  He can excel in a 3/4 or a 4/3 and I am willing to bet that Chip will throw both looks at opposing offenses and I like that idea a lot!!  If Raiders take Star then I think we need to gamble on Jarvis Jones to give us a true 3/4 pass rusher.  I am sure they can find spots for him in the 4/3 looks too.  I know about his back issues but if our team doctors OK it then I am all for that pick.  Another thing to add, if we decide to go mostly 3/4 we will have to see if Chip trades any of our 4/3 guys for extra picks.  I believe to even think of switching to a 3/4 you need to have either a game changer at NT or OLB, so this is why I prefer Jones or Star.

If we go Oline in round 1 I want to trade down and get Warmack.  Think Shawn Andres without the head issues.  He'd be our RG for the next 10 years.  You get him at RG and I firmly believe we would be fine with Herremans at RT.

I want to see how high Chip drafts a center.  Is Kelce that good or did he just fit Mudd's scheme?  Either way we need a center in case his rehab takes longer than expected.

Its pretty easy to make a mock where all your picks are "best ____ available"

Why make a mock draft when you say "Best Available"?

Why even bother making a mock that just says best available?  That's a waste of time to write and read and doesn't show your predictions or opinions for the draft

Does anyone think Chip is going to run an up-tempo offense? If so I don't see Loadholt or Fluker or even Albert being able to keep up.

I was once again, bored by your mock.

This is not better for many reasons:

Not original.
Too broad, not specific about the picks

I think it's hilarious that The LB you want to draft reminds you of Navarro Bowman, Dan Connor, and Sean Lee, who are all completely different linebackers.

Also we sign Delmas, a safety with two bad knees, and proudly "throw his body around" Bob Sanders anyone? He's good, but injuries are what brought This team down last year.

They won't take a 7th rounder for Dixon. He and Tyrod Taylor are their backups, and dual threat QBs. Not worth it for them, a steal by far for us.

Should I go on?

So on your mock you're not specific. So if in the 2nd Rhodes is gone, we get Elam.

If in the third the CBs listed aren't there, we'll get another safety? That's why you need to be more specific.

Lol in the 4th round we pick the best D available. Lol again, so if a safety or DT falls to us, lets snatch em up because he's the BDPA?

This is getting worse as I actually read this crap.

Every player in the draft has boom or bust potential. There's not one player that we can say is a hall of fame type of player and we cannot say X- player won't be a starter. With that I say Star may be a good pick. Played in a weaker conference though.

Basically this was bad. Can't even give you am A for effort because it was obviously lazy.

Albert has also shot down the idea of moving somewhere besides LT... This article is geared more towards the suggestion that he could move to guard, so maybe he would be open to RT if the money is right, but how much are we willing to pay for a RT? And, is he willing to take less money to play RT here when some team throws LT money at him? I doubt it.

In a post last week, we pondered what the Chiefs would do with the No. 1 pick, and one idea is for them to draft the best left tackle prospect available and install him in a starting role there from Day One. Their 2012 starter at the position, Branden Albert is an impending free agent, and some have suggested that he could slide inside to guard in this scenario.

There's a small problem with that hypothetical: Albert isn't on board.

"I've worked hard to be a left tackle in this league. I've worked hard on my craft," he explained during an appearance on 610 AM this week, per Chiefs blog Arrowhead Pride. "From where I started to where I'm at now is a hell of a jump. I'm not a guard. Point blank."

Albert added that he hasn't personally spoken with new HC Andy Reid or GM John Dorsey, but that his agent has spoken with Dorsey; however, Albert did not reveal whether there was any significant progress being made on a new deal. The UVA product is an impending free agent, and would draw quite a bit of interest as a free agent, as there are a number of teams with question marks at left tackle looking ahead to 2013.

I would stay away from Branden Albert.  Bad backs don't get better... especially for a guy who weighs 330.
